The King's Pastries

Chapter 1 - You will not be able to eat just one

Being in lockdown due to the pandemic has been something else. For starters I’ve always been a pretty fit person (we’re talking about 5’7” and a solid 135lbs). Before this stupid lockdown I used to hit the gym five times a week for at least two hours per session. Anyway, since all gyms have remained closed for months due to lockdown and thanks to that, I’ve lost a lot of muscle mass I’m talking about around 15lbs worth of it, so that means I now weigh a measly 120lbs after just a couple of weeks. I’m so scrawny you can even see my ribcage without an issue. I tried working out at home, but I can’t get motivated to do so. My diet doesn’t help either, since I barely have any hunger, and if I do, I only take three bites of whatever I’m eating and that’s enough to make me full.

I was “watching” YouTube like any other day; I was just using it as background noise as I tried to complete some chores on my computer. I was not paying any attention to what was on YouTube, but suddenly an ad interrupted whichever video was playing. As any normal human being would do, I stopped whatever I was doing to skip the ad, but it wasn’t your typical average YouTube ad. It was for a new pastry shop opening in my town, said shop was called “The King’s Pastries” and it showed the most delicious looking desserts ever: cream filled cannoli, conversation tarts (which is made with puff pastry that is filled with frangipane cream and topped with royal icing), different types of éclairs and macarons, Mille-feuille, Pain au chocolat, profiteroles and tiramisu. The ad said in a calm voice “We’re not your typical pastry shop, our king size portions are worth the price so much so that you will not be able to eat just one -Available now on UberEATS 24/7-“.

To be honest I felt hungry while watching said ad. “You will not be able to eat just one” stuck with me. Maybe if they claim that it must mean they’re good, right? Out of curiosity I checked the app if the shop was available for delivery. As soon as I opened the app it was there on the “You might like” tab. The menu looked pretty varied and to my surprise it wasn’t as crazy expensive as you would think. I added to my cart: one chocolate éclair and a tiramisu éclair (to me this was new since I’ve never heard of them) and half a dozen macarons since they tend to be small, before placing my order the app offered me a drink from the shop that was called “The King’s shake” and I added it to my cart as well. I hit “place order” and waited for it to be delivered.

It took my order less than 10 minutes to be delivered and the size of the box surprised me, it was made out of pink carton with the illustration of a pretty hefty King along with some royal lettering that read “The King’s Pastries” followed by their slogan “You will not be able to eat just one”. It was easily 16”x 16”x 7” and it weighed around 5lbs. I thought to myself “All this box for 2 éclairs and 6 macarons?” and on top of that, the size of “The King's shake” was equally surprising since it was easily 30 ounces (as big as a Big Gulp cup from 7/11). So, deducting from the size of the box, the pastries must be pretty large. I placed said box and the shake on the kitchen counter, I broke the warranty seal to open the box and MY GOD! I shouted; the size of my order was unbelievable. The éclairs were a foot long and 4” wide and the macarons were about the same circumference and thickness.

I thought to myself, these pastries were going to last me a whole week, so I decided to grab just a chocolate with chocolate ganache macaron and the shake to the living room. I turned on the T.V and changed it to some sitcom shows. I took a bite of the macaron and it was the best dessert I’ve ever had, it melted in your tongue without hesitation. I took a jug of “The King’s shake” and GOLLY! that thing was amazing, it was so thick and sweet that it left you wanting more, it tasted like melted vanilla ice cream with some hints of coffee. I took three more jugs of it and a couple more bites of the macaron and like that, I devoured my first dessert, I felt smart for ordering more.

I brought the box to the couch and laid it next to me, my next macaron was a salted caramel praline one it was as good as the last one, it had a nice sweet and salty touch. Sip, bite, sip, bite. I devoured those macarons in no time. How could I blame myself; they were so good. I checked how much shake I had, it was easily a third down, so that meant I had plenty of it to pair it with the foot-long éclairs.

I picked the chocolate éclair and it was pretty hefty. I must say that it weighed easily 2lbs. How on earth was I going to shove that into my stomach? After all, I had eaten quite a lot for my standards but for some strange reason, I didn’t feel full. I placed the éclair back into the box and focused on whatever show was on TV but, this impulse was still there, right in the back of my head. I looked at the box and shake and felt as if they were teasing me. “Come on!” I said I’m stronger than this, but the thought was there growing, distracting me and all of a sudden my stomach gurgled. What?! I was hungry after all the pastries I ate?!

I couldn’t handle my hunger anymore and so I gave in, I picked the heft chocolate éclair and shoved it into my mouth MY GOD! IT’S SO GOOD! I exclaimed. The éclair was perfect, the flavor was just amazing, almost orgasmic, the combination of bitter chocolate and sweet heavy cream was incredible. Munch, munch, sip, bite. I couldn’t understand what took over me, this force that wanted me to eat more and more. I was so into the taste of the pastries that I blacked out for hours.

I woke up the next day and what I saw frightened me, I was still sitting on my couch surrounded by fifteen empty pink boxes and 20 empty Big Gulp size cups of what seemed to be “The King’s shake”. I was in awe of my setting. How could a 5’7'' 120lbs scrawny man eat this much? And that’s where I was completely wrong. I took a look of my body and it felt as if it wasn’t mine, my exposed rib cage was a thing of the past, my flat (almost concave) stomach was a thing of the past, overall it looked like I blimped overnight but the main attraction was my engorged and plump stomach. I stood up from the couch and as soon as I did I felt my newfound weight pretty bad. It was definitely a task maneuvering my enlarged body around my apartment.
I waddled up to my bathroom since that’s where I keep my scale. I stood on it and waited for its reading. My belly made it harder for me to read the scale. I managed to see it's reading. I was… 250lbs!!! HOLY FUCK! I was a pig. I gained more than a hundred pounds overnight. A normal person would find this horrifying, but I found this situation…pretty amusing? To say the least.

I waddled back to the couch and sat down, I explored my enlarged body, I was so soft and big, while massaging my belly, my groin started pulsating. Was this turning me on? Definitely. Was I mad with myself for losing control and becoming a big fat pig? Definitely not, I enjoyed myself for a couple of minutes and out of nowhere I got a notification on my phone from UberEATS that read: “The King’s Pastries recognized you as a loyal customer. Place a $50+ order to get a 2x1 deal”. With a greedy grin on my face I unlocked my phone and browsed their menu. I said to myself “After all they weren’t lying with their phrase ‘You will not be able to eat just one’”.
