Newlyweds

Chapter 1 - Newlyweds

Applause, champagne, cake, and love from dozens of friends and family members filled Christine and Douglass’ wedding evening. Two groomsmen shared stories of Doug in college barely able to handle his liquor to deep laughter from the crowd. More heartfelt stories were told of Christine’s days with her sorority sisters and friends from her softball team growing up. People cried, Christine got a long hug from the father of the groom, and dancing went late into the evening.

Liquored up and midnight approaching, the couple was driven back to their hotel room where the Uber driver, an older white-haired gentleman, winked at Christine and gave her now husband a handshake. They fumbled up the stairs into the lobby, her shoes now in her hand, bare feet on the clean, exquisite marble floors of the hotel. The elevator doors did not even close before the couple were all over each other’s bodies, Doug’s hands pulling at Christine’s dress, removing a strap from her shoulder and kissing her neck with an intensity reserved for two people who just professed their love to each other.

Picking his bride up, Doug carried her towards their door, and fumbled around in his pockets for the keycard. Turning on the lights, the couple stripped and threw themselves into the bed. Moaning, Christine dug her nails into Doug’s thigh as he thrust into her over and over again, shaking the bedframe and creating a mess of the sheets and room. When both had finished, Doug put his underwear back on and lit a joint while Christine freshened up in the bathroom, putting on a silk robe. They smoked on the balcony, looking at the stars. Her head resting on his arm, Christine felt an overwhelming joy that she could finally call this man her husband. Doug on the other hand, was working up the courage to bring up the cupcakes he had in the mini fridge that he wanted nothing more than to feed his bride.

Snuggled up in bed, the two kissed gently, and looked into each other’s eyes. Doug had waited years to confess he had a kink that he never brought up, but there’s no time like the present, right?

Makes more sense he'd (if he loves her) enjoy their wedding night sober and only pursue his personal kinks later. Even if he'd previously discussed with her, getting high on the wedding night is weird

Douglas' still has one s. And it took me out of it that he'd light "a joint" on their wedding night. If any one night he'd be sober, this would be it
