Not a Winter Girl

Chapter 1

I have never been a winter girl and as for summer, I can't stand sweat trickling down my sides accentuating my rolls for everyone to see. I am more of a fall/spring person, when the weather is not too hot or cold. Times when the colors are beautifully saturated as if the earth is saying it's going to be a good day...

One early winter morning, Carrie and I were walking to class, rushing because we were a bit late to reach campus that day. It was cold, I remember distinctly because I could feel my nipples harden like ice and poke into my jacket, with every step I took.

Carrie's lips and nose were brightly pink in comparison to her beautiful porcelain skin. The wind was harsh that morning, I get chills just reminiscing. "Shit is it already 7" Carrie was checking her phone "Hurry Sasha, or well have to run!" Carrie was already speed walking ahead of me, we were both well overweight but she was faster than me. The thought of running to class with my fat shaking and spilling out from under my clothing was too humiliating.
So I did as Carrie demanded and started walking faster because that was better alternative to running, I could feel my stretch jeans sliding off my hips the faster I walked, each time i reached down to pull them up they would slide back down again, they couldn't handle all of the giggling and swaying my body was doing, the friction from my thighs rubbing as I sped walked wasn't helping either, in fact the friction had torn holes in my jeans between my thighs but this was a easy cover up, since my thigh is barely parted and no one would notice.

By the time we reached campus we were already late, out of breath and sweaty. My belly had fallen out in front of my jeans and Carrie was pulling on her coat since it had become disheveled from all the shaking. I tugged on my jeans, pulling them up once more, this time, to cover my belly that had become exposed. Relieved to have finally made it, i Stepped off the sidewalk onto the road in front of the campus building and I slipped.

I had fallen in front of the school, and began struggling to get up. Everytime I tried to get up I would fall back down, my belly slid out from under my jeans and my shirt began to rise the more I struggled to get onto my feet. Carrie reached out her hands to help me get up, her inevitably falling too, I grabbed onto her love handles for support, as she tried to maintain a balance but she would just fall back into me... We had officially fallen and the culprit was black ice.

We were in the middle of the road, in front of the campus, sliding around on the ground, fat spilling everywhere, struggling to get up. Gravity was not our friend. To make matters worse cars had started to pull up and we were blocking the road. Finally after exhausting all of my efforts to stand I decided to crawl, Carrie followed my lead. I was so embarrassed, the crack of my butt was showing my stomach was out and hanging because of all the sliding my shirt had rolled up above my navel and under my breast. I was dirty, wet, shaking and shivering when I finally stood up on the grass, my fat was showing everywhere.
Carrie quickly started tugging on my clothes to cover my belly. my jacket, thankfully covered my back rolls, the only thing that didn't become exposed that day. So here's just one reason why, that's my favorite Jacket and I'm not a winter kinda girl.
