Chapter 1, Late Night

Nina sits at her desk late at night, going over reports, blue light reflecting off her glass, a once hot cup of coffee now sits cold. She's been focused for hours ensuring everything is in order. Finally, the last report is done, and no more signatures and approvals are needed from her. She leans back and stretches. She then reach for her coffee. But nearly spits it out. "Ice cold as always." She checks the time on her monitor and realizes going home would be a waste of time. "Looks like another night at the office." She says while sighing. She walks over a door her in the back corner, this leads to a private cabin with a basic and simple kitchen, shower, and small bed. Ever since she took ownership of her father's company she been working non-stop, dealing with concerned investors, middle managers, workers and disgruntled board members who didn't trust her at first but had to hold their tongues when the first quarter in, she doubled the company earnings, at years end. Broke multiple profit records. But doing so took a toll on her mentally and physically. Five long years she did nothing but work, barley eating and sleeping. She got used to it but knew it couldn't last. Something would break and it could happen at any time.
She poured the coffee down the drain and began to undress. She entered the shower. She scrubbed her body messaging all over. She used to be athletic in her college years. Toned legs, and tight butt, she ran every day, got lost of exercise. But five years of a low diet caused her to lose weight along with her muscle. She walk in with an athletic curvy body. Turning heads as she walked through the office, her curves being accentuated by her business suits and skirts, only for them to become baggy and time went on she had to get a whole new wardrobe. She got out and wiped the steam off the mirror. With her makeup washed off the dark circles around her eyes were visible, her eyes were sunken in. She looks down past her breasts; she can see her ribs. She was destroying herself. She put on some basic panties a shirt and fell into bed. To tired to pull the covers over, she was past out immediately She had a meeting with the board about the expansions into another city and who should oversee operations there.
