chapter 1

I put down my work phone. An angry customer had pretty much bit my head off for a mistake of his own. I couldn't deal with them anymore. The pay wasn't bad, but I was far from rich being a customer service rep. I was able to work from home which was great, but pretty much ended up with me on the couch answering angry calls all day. It was quite boring, so I snacked to entertain myself. Chips, chocolate, candies, ice cream anything to keep me occupied.

2 years ago, before I took the job I had a slim figure from being a swimmer most of my childhood. Now, I definitely had grown a few rolls and my already large hips were wider than ever.

At 4 p.m. I sent an email to my supervisor telling her I was quitting. I would finish the week but that was it for me. To celebrate making this decision, even though I had no other job lined up I decided to order myself some pasta from my favorite italian restaurant with a side of garlic bread and a chocolate cake.

I then opened a bottle of red wine to relax and turned on the TV waiting for my order. As I was on my second glass of the evening I head a knock on my door and picked up my food. I walked back to my couch and started devouring the fettuccine and dipping my bread in the sauce. Honestly bless that restaurant for it's large portions. I mindlessly ate my plate as I watched the news.

I then started on the chocolate cake, that was probably made for a big family. I was wearing leggings and they felt too tight against my belly. I decided to just remove them, bending down I noticed my gut was starting to be in the way. I then continued eating the cake, not even bothering to cut myself a slice.

The show I was watching went on a commercial break. The advertisement was about a surrogate clinic in my town recruiting. It didn't give much info but said the compensation was great. "Not a difficult job, you don't have to do much" I thought to myself. My show continued and I didn't think any more of it.

I fell asleep stuffed on the couch with my almost finished chocolate cake next to me.
