Rob weighed himself and found that he had added 16 pounds to his normal 175 pound frame. And he found that he really didn't care.

The rest of the holidays was an extension of Thanksgiving. Mary and Rob ate whatever they wanted and let the pounds fall where they may. Where they fell was around their middles. By Christmas, Mary was up to a bountiful 190 pounds. As she closed in on 200 pounds, her belly was starting to bulge out past her boobs. Not that her boobs weren't trying. They were up another cup size. But her belly was winning the contest. As for Rob, he tipped the scales at 210 pounds. With a total of 35 new pounds, he was no longer the lean runner he once was. Now he was a meaty guy, with his belt tight around his belly.

Christmas was a repeat of Thanksgiving. They spent Christmas Eve with Mary's family, and gorged themselves. Rob remembered how Mary's mother had patted her daughter's belly and then hugged her. Today she did the same with Mary, and then later in the evening, patted Rob's new bulge and hugged him.

Christmas Day was with Rob's family. Rob had resigned himself to some kidding about his weight gain, but he didn't fret about it. Let them tease, he was happier than he had ever been. As it turned out, the kidding was pretty mild, and Rob had a sense that his family sensed his happiness. Again, they both ate until they couldn't move.

They drove home, with Rob taking care to avoid bumps, because bumps hurt their stuffed bellies. They let themselves into their apartment and gingerly lowered themselves on their sofa. Rob turned to Mary. "I'll never nag you again about eating, Mary. You've opened my eyes to the joys of indulgence."

Mary peered at him through slanted eyes. "You were always sexy, lover. But now that you've learned how to let go, you're sexier than I thought anybody could ever be."

"Are you ready for us to get fatter?" Rob asked. "A lot fatter? I mean, if we keep indulging like this, we're going to grow some epic bellies."

"I'm ready, lover. Let's enjoy all the tastes that life has to offer."
