Chapter 5

“Ready, set, go!” the MC exclaimed.



Kim joined nine other contestants in diving into the first pair of pies. She had barely eaten anything all day in preparation. The first pair was blueberry, one of her new favorites. She had to admit, ever since this all began she had been introduced to a whole new world of tastes and experiences.



The first two pie plates were quickly cleaned and Kim lumbered off to the second pair. These were cappuccino pies, thick and creamy. Four pies were enough to comfortably fill even Kim’s stretched out stomach, and two contestants dropped out at the second table. Pies five and six were apple caramel, disappearing rather quickly into Kim’s swelling belly. The waddle/run to the next table was a little difficult for her as her full gut started to complain.



The fourth table contained pumpkin pies, and only 3 contestants remained. One lowered their head to a table with a groan half way through the first pie. Kim was matched bite for bite by a skinny blonde woman from Human Resources. Well, the woman used to be skinny, but after now eating 8 pies her belly was distended enough to make her look fairly pregnant.

By this point Kim's jaw was getting tired from so much chewing, and a constant ache was radiating up her overstretched stomach.



The blonde actually finished first, waddling off to the last table which contained pecan pies. Kim staggered behind her, wincing and rubbing her gravely distended gut. Her t-shirt was riding up, revealing a swath of blubbery flesh. Both contestants struggled with the final pies, faces turning red and damp with sweat. When Kim finally stood, leaving two empty tins behind her, she felt dizzy and lightheaded. Cradling her incredibly bloated stomach with both hands, Kim took one weak-kneed step then another.



Her vision swam and her breathing grew ragged. After 30 yards she couldn’t take another step, plopping onto her sizeable rear and unleashing a huge belch. Kim collapsed onto her back, her t-shirt riding up all the way to reveal her mountainous midsection. A few jeers came from the sidelines, but she was too far gone to care. All she could do was watch as the blonde woman staggered past her to the finish line.

The blonde woman staggered over to a bench to sit down. Her formerly flat stomach had swelled so much that she could have passed for seven or eight months pregnant.



After it was all over Rick walked up to her. He gently jabbed the packed-full fleshy sphere with one leather loafer, chuckling slightly as she belched and groaned.



“Well, at least you gave it your all,” he said. “There’s always next year."
