Sadie’s mission

Chapter 7 - The First Date

He could skip, he could sing. He, Trevor Anderson, had a date with Sadie Holloway. It was everything he’d ever fantasized about, and it was all coming true.

Sure, there were some lingering question marks. For instance, everything about the pizzas? Or, what on earth happened to her pants? He saw how she usually ate; was Sadie getting fat? “No way that’s possible, I’ve seen her run”, he thought.

Putting those thoughts aside, Trevor turned his attention to his upcoming date, the one he’d spent his life training for. They were to go out in about a week, Friday after next, when Trevor had got them reservations. So far, the was plan to pick her Sadie up at her place, grab dinner, and go from there. Truth be told, it was all very “let’s go with the flow”.

And yet, Trevor knew so much more about Sadie after the day’s events. She’d been super sheltered, at least in terms of food, and she was currently on a journey of discovery. He’d also learned that Sadie wasn’t nearly as into track as the world assumed. “Actually, that might account for what I’ve seen her eat”, he considered.

Even still, he could use what he knew to her advantage. If she’d never enjoyed pesto, or good pizza, or Chinese - what else hadn’t she had before? The first thought was was good old fashioned, full fat, all dairy ice cream. If he had to guess, Sadie came from a sugar-free frozen yogurt house, so she’d probably love it.

And so, Trevor’s train of thought continued through the weekend, the following week, and even through their math session, until the big day arrived. Sure, they’d just spent a couple hours alone for the 8th time, but this felt real with real stakes. And as Trevor drove to pick up Sadie, it occurred to him that this would be his first time at her house with an actual invitation.

“It’s so funny how things work out sometimes”, he thought happily as he rounded the corner and saw Sadie’s house came into view. To his delight, she was already outside waiting for him.

————

A few minutes earlier, Sadie had been sitting in the living room, watching the window for when Trevor arrived.

“Got big plans tonight?”, asked her mom, who was sitting nearby, “the way you keep looking outside, it’s gotta be something pretty fun.” Sadie groaned. It felt like the 10th time she’d been asked that question. “Mom, I told you already. It’s just dinner with a friend”.

“And does that friend happen to be a boy?”, asked her mom. When Sadie went pink, her mom answered for her, with a laugh, “Well, well looks like they are big plans”, then added, “Just have fun and be safe.”

Truth be told, Sadie had been looking forward to this for a week. As pretty and athletic as she appeared, she’d encountered her fair share of awkward (and unappreciated) flirtations over the years. It was honestly disgusting how young it had started for her. And yet, this was the first “adult-style” date she’d ever been asked on. And Trevor had been so nice after the button incident, she knew he was worthy of the honor.

Tired of looking out the window, Sadie stood from the couch and went outside. It was only a moment later when she saw Trevor’s car come into view. And when he pulled up, she hopped in with a bright, “Hey Trevor!”. Ok, she was excited.

Then, she saw what he was wearing. She felt bad. Trevor had put on some nice clothes for the occasion; a button-down shirt, pants, the works. Meanwhile, Sadie was in her usual lazy get up. It wasn’t as if she’d not thought otherwise, but a first date was no place to publicly unveil her changing body. She’d even tried on some of her newly-tight dresses, but nothing felt right. “I really need to size up a little, so I can wear something else for a change”, she thought glumly.

Trevor must’ve noticed her darkened mood, and said, “What’s up Sadie? You ready for the best damn Chinese food of your life?”. This brightened Sadie right up, and she thought, “Of course he doesn’t care what I wear. I’m being silly. Really nice of him to put in the effort though”.

And so the two of them made idle chatter, discussed the upcoming meal, and even touched on some school gossip. It was pretty smooth, without much awkwardness or silence. Before they knew it, they’d parked in front of the restaurant and went inside.

————

“Could she have worn something else for once?”, was the first thought that came to Trevor when he pulled up to Sadie’s house. He was going on a date with his years-long crush, and she’d worn yet another hoodie.

But he let it slide from his mind when he noticed her demeanor change. So cheery and sunny a minute earlier, he saw Sadie eye his outfit and realized she must’ve felt bad - the last thing Trevor wanted. So, he changed the subject and watched as she immediately brightened back up.

The car ride was nice, just the two of them talking as if it were just another weekly math session. And truth be told, this was Trevor’s first real date as well, so he had little idea as to what to expect. But this, this seemed normal. It wasn’t awkward or weirdly quiet. So far so good.

When they arrived at the restaurant and went inside, Trevor strolled up to the hostess and supplied his name. It was a perfectly normal Chinese restaurant, maybe a bit high-end, in Trevor’s opinion, but Sadie looked amazed. “With all the oils this place probably uses, it’s no wonder her step-dad didn’t take the family here”, he reasoned.

“Do you know what you might like to try?”, he asked once they’d got their menus. Sadie flipped through the pages, making “ooohs” and “ahhhs” and “wows” at just about everything. “I mean, everything just sounds so good”, she said eventually, then adding to their waitress, who was standing nearby, “I’ve never actually had real Chinese before. What do you suggest?”.

The waitress had the good grace not to look surprised, then came over and showed Sadie something on her menu that Trevor couldn’t make out. “Oh that sounds amazing. What do you think, Trevor?”, and turned her menu to him. It was a tasting menu, of sorts - one where, for a flat fee, the pair could have their own mini Chinese buffet, complete with plate refills. For someone like Sadie, who both wanted and needed the complete experience, it was ideal.

Though his wallet may have felt some trepidation, Trevor was all for making this experience memorable. “Let’s go for it”, he replied with a devilish smile.

————

“Ugggggggh”, moaned Sadie, who was laying in the back seat. They had just left the Chinese place and, contrary to Trevor’s original plan, were heading back to Sadie’s to drop her off. As she moaned, Trevor replayed the evening in his mind.

The tasting menu had been immense. From the moment they ordered, dish after dish of noodles and tofu and pork and shrimp and rice appeared on their table. And if the sheer immensity of it was shocking, so too was Sadie’s ability to put it away.

For someone so small, she could really eat. There had been a moment when Trevor thought they’d finish at about the same time. But, where he called it quits, Sadie said she had to try a little more of the bbq pork, and maybe a couple other dishes. And so she kept going, with her face clearly showing a thought process of “just a little more, just a little more”.

To be fair, the two of them had had a great time. Talking and exclaiming about the food every step of the way. As far as dates went, this one had been pretty darn effortless. But, around the second plate refill, Sadie had started to slow down. And next thing Trevor knew, she was so full could hardly move. That was around the time he’d had to pay and help into the back seat of his car.

“I get that the food was awesome and all, but damn, she could’ve controlled herself a little”, Trevor thought, yet conceding, “Maybe I was right and her body had a reaction to the oils they cook with, who knows”.

It was then he pulled back up in front of Sadie’s house. “Hey, Sadie… we’re back at your place”, he called back softly. With a groan, she got up and said, “oh my god, thank you so much”. But as she made to leave, in a much smaller voice, she added, “I had a really nice time tonight, Trevor, I’m so sorry I ruined it”. And before Trevor could respond, she left.

Trevor didn’t head back home. Instead, drove around and around the town, thinking things over. Some things definitely didn’t add up - the daily chips & soda, the pizza, the way she’d just been in the restaurant. Sadie was clearly going through something and it was all connected.

But whatever it may be, Sadie was Trevor’s dream girl - and dreams are often a bit different than reality, he reasoned, Sadie was a living breathing person, not a sex fantasy. And despite his disappointment on having to cut it short, there was no denying that Trevor had just taken Sadie on a date she’d always remember. Trevor pulled over and opened his phone - he knew what he had to do.

————

Laying on the floor of her room, door locked, Sadie was a total mix of emotions. She had stripped down to her bra and underwear and was massaging her incredibly full belly. In fact, Sadie reckoned she’d set a new record for herself.

On the one hand, this thought, which she’d had since the restaurant, made her wet and horny. She was gonna get so fat from this meal, it’d be incredible.

And yet, Trevor had paid for that meal… and drove her home when she was too full to continue their evening. It was embarrassing and humiliating…. And sad. Before gorging herself in front of him, she’d been having a great time and was pretty sure he had been too.

“But then my damn feedee instincts got in the way”, she thought, while adding dejectedly, “I bet he won’t want to see me again. I mean, why would he?”

And as Sadie ran her hands over her body, exploring her no-longer-flat stomach, a new, foreign thought occurred to her. “Is this all a mistake?”, she wondered, “Is there a point to ruining my body like this? It’s only 10 pounds, I could probably lose it pretty quick”.

As sudden as these thoughts had come, Sadie just as suddenly pushed them aside. To deny these feelings of sexuality and correctness was to deny to a key part of herself. There would be no closing the door and no turning back. She wouldn’t blame Trevor for going his own way, but she wouldn’t change - not for anyone.

That’s when her phone buzzed. A quick glance saw it was Trevor, and she turned the phone upside down. She couldn’t read it, she didn’t want to. He had been so kind, every step of the way. But what if his words of support turned to words of rejection? Sadie could steel herself, sure, but that’d still hurt.

But she could read it. She had to. She took a deep breath, flipped the phone back over, and read. She smiled as she did. It read:

“Hey! Hope you’re feeling okay :) Firstly, you didn’t ruin anything. Also, I read someplace that tasting menus sometimes suggest you skip lunch beforehand. We’ll have to keep that in mind next time haha.

Anyway, I had a great time tonight. If you’re up for it, I’d love to do it again sometime soon. There’s lots of other places we can try. Talk soon and see you Monday.”

This chapter is great! Trevor is such a good character. If Sadie had tried even a little bit I bet they could’ve stayed together. Such a great story! ❤️

Thank you! I totally agree. If Sadie had been more straight up, their communication (at least) would’ve been less of an issue. Next chapter, we’ll catch up with Daphne.

I mean damn, I’m on Trevor’s side. You can’t just be into eating and gaining 100%, you gotta have a real life. Sadie is definitely spiraling

Love your take! This is definitely Sadie’s first reality check. So far, doubling down on the gain train has always yielded better results. Not so much this time. Next chapter’s gonna be Trevor’s perspective on the past few months…
