Chapter 1
Ava sat in the waiting room, tapping her knee nervously. Her eyes darted around like a schizophrenic. But she wasn’t crazy. Just desperate. Had it really gotten this bad? Was she really this desperate for a job? She’d gotten over those questions in the weeks leading up to this. The one she was still left with was what happens if this falls through, too.Ava had been struggling for a while to find work. No training, no skills, no experience. Who would hire her? She needed money. She needed a place to live. When she heard about this job, she thought it was too good to be true. Free housing on a tropical island. No experience required. It couldn’t be real. Or at the very least, she wouldn’t cut it for the interview.
“Ms. Coleson?” Ava’s eyes shot to fixate on the tall, slender secretary reentering the waiting room. “This is it.”, she thought.
“He’ll see you now,” she said as she stepped back to her desk. Ava stood up straight as an arrow. “This is it,” she thought. Turned towards the large wooden door. Behind it was her last chance. She was out of options at this point. This had to work out.
The door creaked open into the private office. It felt warm and inviting. It had an old-money feeling to it. Dark-stained wood furniture and golden light shining in from the window behind the desk. It was a stark contrast to the professional but sterile look of the rest of the building. In a way, it put her at a slight ease. As did the smile from the man walking towards her from the desk.
“Hi, Ms. Coleson. Sorry for the wait.” The man put out his hand. At first, she didn’t believe he could be the owner. She expected someone older and maybe less attractive. Instead, he was a fit man in his late 20s. She found him quite attractive, actually. For a moment, she thought he might just be an assistant until she realized he was the only other person in the room. Realizing she was pausing for too long, she quickly reached out her hand to his. “O-oh. That’s fine.”
He gave another warm smile and stepped aside. “Please, have a seat. Let's get started.” As he moved out of the way, she saw an expensive-looking chair waiting for her. She had a seat as she was told. He did the same on the opposite side. He adjusted his very fitting suit as he did so. Ava was having a hard time not looking at him now.
“So,” He scooted his chair forward and picked up what must have been her resume, “Your name is Ava, correct?” Ava barely heard his question. She shot back into focus as she remembered how important this interview was for her. “Yes.”
“And you are applying as a full-time feeder here?” he looked back up from the paper at her. There seemed to be some skepticism in his voice.
“Yes... The full-time resident one,” she said. Her voice was losing all that was left of her confidence. The look she sensed on his face intensified. Not making her feel any better. “Do you have any experience in this field of work?”
Ava’s heart sank. This was it. This was where she lost so many other jobs. “W-well, no. The listing said no experience required.”
“Yes, no job experience. No one has job experience with this because no one does what we do here.” His words are stern. The warmth she felt from his smile was replaced with an embarrassment of her ignorance. He leans in even further, “Do you know what we do here?”
The tone of his question only made it seem more like he had no idea what she was doing here. Like he didn’t think she’d fit in. Like he thought she was just some young girl trying to squirm her way to living on an island for free. But she didn’t; she needed this job. She’d work hard for it. She needed him to see that. “I-I think I have a pretty good grasp on the concept. I know it’s unusual and I’m not really certain of all that’s required for it, but I’m willing to learn anything I need to for the job.” It was the most and smoothest words she’d said in an interview ever. She knew she sounded desperate. She didn’t care. Desperation was the only thing she had going for her.
He sat back for a moment. She couldn’t tell really why. Maybe he was thinking. Maybe he was looking her over. Maybe he was just thinking of a way to say no. Regardless, she was ready for whatever came next. She knew she had shot her shot. Any more begging would only make things worse. His silence was halted for a quick inhale before he spoke again. “Alright, I don’t normally do this. Usually, we look for someone who is actually into this stuff. But full-time female feeders with your body don’t come along very often, so I’m going to have to take a chance on you.”
Ava’s breath let out. She hoped she was hearing him right. Was he saying yes?
“I’m going to station you on Seraph Beach as a feeder attendant under a standard contract. You don’t have to sign it now. In fact, you might want to wait till the end of your introduction.”
“I-introduction?” Ava said with a slight stutter, once again, still in disbelief. He looked up from the papers he was signing, “Yes, you’ll shadow Mercedes. She’s one of our feeders on that beach. Her shift starts in a few minutes, I’ll have her come up here. She'll show you what you’ll be doing. When you’re done, you can decide whether to sign on or not.”
“S-so I got the job?” She asked. He didn’t answer her directly. Instead, he handed her the papers he’d just signed. “Give this to my receptionist. Then come back and sign them if you want the job. Mercedes will meet you out there.”
Ava took the papers. She couldn’t believe it, but she also didn’t want to stick around for him to change his mind. She stood up frantically and gave a nervous, slight bow, “Thank you, sir.” She walked back out into the waiting room and stood there for a moment. Just a few minutes ago, she was sitting there wondering what she’d do if this didn’t work out. Now she guessed she had a job. “Do you have something for me?” Ava heard a woman’s voice to her left. It was the receptionist.
“O-oh… right. Sorry.” She laughed nervously and handed the contract to the woman. Ava saw a name tag on her desk. “Ms. Hitchcock”.
“Welcome aboard, Ms. Coleson.” She said with a smile as she looked over her papers. Ava, trying not to act like a jumbling mess, corrected her, “Oh, no, I haven’t signed it yet.” The receptionist took one last glance at the bottom of the paper. “Oh, well, I sure hope you do. We could use more women with your physique on that beach.”
Ava blushed. The man in the office had made a comment like that as well. She knew she had a good boy. Her stomach was always toned and tight. Her hips are not too wide but just enough from her waist to give her a nice hourglass silhouette. Her breasts were quite small, but she didn’t mind the lack of back pain. She’d be quite the catch if she didn’t lack so much confidence. Still, she loved to hear people compliment her like that. “O-oh… thank you.”
The receptionist smiled, “You’re welcome. You’ll be shadowing Mercedes today? That’s good. She’s a sweetheart like you. A little fiery but in a loving kind of way.”
“You know her?”
“Of course. It’s my job to know everyone here. I’ll be getting to know you too soon, I hope.” The receptionist says with a smile. She seemed nice. Ava wondered if everyone here was so inviting. “Oh, there she is now.”
Ava looked down the hall. Strutting down the hallway was a knockout of a woman. Wide hips swaying with confidence in every step. Full, bulbous breasts threatening to bounce right out of her skin-clad bikini. Her olive skin glistened even in the fluorescent office lighting. She was tight, cut, lean, and curvaceous. Ava couldn’t look away. Her walk was hypnotic. Ava wished she had that kind of confidence just walking around.
“Good morning, Sadie. Looking good.” The receptionist greeted the goddess, walking forward, but Ava was still frozen there. “As always,” Mercedes replied. Once again showing a level of confidence in herself, Ava yearned for. “Is this her?” She said, turning towards Ava, who was staring down at her tits.
“Yes, that is your new trainee. Mercedes, this is Ava. Ave, this is our lovely Mercedes.” Mercedes was looking Ava up and down like she was sizing her up. “Well, alright, Ava. Come with me.”
Mercedes strutted back down the hallway, not even waiting for Ava to acknowledge her. Ava followed quickly. Not wanting to disappoint her. Although it was hard for her to tell if she felt that way because she didn’t want to lose this job or because she didn’t want to displease Mercedes specifically.
“So, new girl. Where you from?” Mercedes said as she bounced her way down the hall.
“Uh… Tennessee, I guess.” Ava answered nervously, trying to watch.
Mercedes grinned, “Oh, country girl. Came here to ride a hog, did you?”
“W-what do you mean?” Ava was confused and a little embarrassed. She didn’t know of any hog riding as part of her job description, but she could tell from the tone that hog meant something else.
Mercedes chuckled. “The guests. Come here to get with some fat hogs?”
“O-Oh. No. Is that… do we have to do that?” Ava said nervously. She knew what they did to the guests here. She knew she’d have to act sexy for them. But she didn’t think she’d have to take it that far.
“Sleep with the guests? Well, no but. Come on, you think you’re gonna be around these people all day stuffing their guts and not want to go back to their rooms?” Mercedes said, turning back briefly to give her a sly, knowing look. But Ava didn’t really know what she was “knowing” about.
Ava looked back with eyes like a helpless puppy. “I- I don’t really want to do anything like that.”
Mercedes slowed down before coming to a halt. This didn’t help Ava’s nerves at all. She turned to her with a dumbfounded look. “Hang on. Aren’t you a feeder?” she asked.
“That’s what my contract says.” Ava didn’t understand the girl’s question. She had a baseline understanding of what her job duties were, but nowhere in the job listing did it say she had to be sexually attracted to the guests.
“No, I mean- aren’t you a feeder. Like, aren’t you into feeding?” Ava was starting to get a feeling for what Mercedes was trying to say. But it didn’t make her feel any better. No, she wasn’t a real “feeder”. She didn't think that was a problem, but by the look on her face, she didn’t look too pleased to be training her now. Ava couldn’t lie, though. She shook her head, “No.”
Mercedes looked off and away, “Oh… alright then.” Mercedes kept on walking. Leaving Ava to catch up and wonder if she’d just ruined this thing before she’d even started the day. “I-is that a problem? Is that not normal?”
“Yes and no. We’ve had others like you, but they don’t stick around long.” Mercedes says, stepping into an elevator. Ava stepped in behind her, but suddenly she didn’t really feel like she was welcome to follow. “They thought they could take this job and spend their time sunbathing on the beach while being paid. But that’s not this job. If you’re into it, it’s literally a dream job. If you’re not… well, like I said. Most don’t stick around.” Mercedes pushed the “ground floor” button and remained looking forward. No eye contact anymore. Ava thought that now she surely ruined her chances.
“Well, that’s not why I signed up,” she said. Almost sounded like she had a shred of confidence in her. It might have worked because Mercedes looked her in the eyes again. “Then what was?”
“I need a job... and a place to live. This one comes with housing and decent pay. For that, it doesn’t matter what the job is. I’ll do it.” Mercedes was surprised by her for speaking up like that. No stutter. No shrill voice. For a moment, she thought maybe she’d misjudged her.
“Alright, new girl. I don’t want you to feel unwelcome. You seem sweet, it’s just that this place is special to us. So when some of them see an outsider, it kind of ruins things. If you can keep up with us and not make everyone feel weird for what they’re into, then maybe you’ll be fine.”
“I’ll try. Really, I will.” The elevator dings, “Good.” Mercedes stepped off the elevator, and Ava still followed. The sun shinned through the windows in the main lobby. Workers were checking in at the desk. All in different clothing. Some were in bikinis like Mercedes. Some were wearing what looked to be regular clothes. Some looked to be chefs, masseuses, waiters, or waitresses. Some skinny, some fat. There was such a variety of people on this island. It looked like a paradise. And for some, it was. But only if you were the right kind of person. And Ava didn’t think she was. That’s what was still worrying her. Maybe she was cut out for this. Maybe this was a mistake. But it was her best chance. She had to take it.
Going out the automatic doors and into the hot sun of the resort, a cart pulled up with a handsome-looking driver. Ava got a good look at him. Tall, tanned, fit. He smiled at both of them. “You girls look like you could use a lift.” Mercedes wasted no time and hopped on the back bench of the golf cart, “Like it isn’t your job, cart boy.”
“Who’s this?” The man asked Mercedes and gave Ava a nod.
“That’s our new girl. She’s gonna be shadowing me today.” Mercedes scoots over, making room for Ava to sit. Ava does, and the cart takes off. “Nice to meet you, Ava.” The man smiles in the rear view mirror, “I’m Kevin.”
Mercedes talks over Kevin, “Yeah, Kevin is one of our cart boys. He hauls our asses to where they need to be,” she said, “cart boy” like he was something she just scraped from the bottom of her foot. “So what’s your deal, new girl?”
Ava wasn’t quite sure what she meant. “M-my what?”
“Your deal. Guys? Girls? Others? What are you into if it ain’t fatties?” Mercedes said bluntly. Ava was starting to wonder if everyone here was as blunt as she was.
“Uh, guys. Not girls.”
Mercedes smirks like she doesn’t believe it, “You sure? You’ve been eyeing my tits pretty hard.”
Ava stuttered; she’d been caught. She’d almost forgotten she should be hiding it. “I-I wasn’t-”
Mercedes chuckled and cut her off before she embarrassed herself any more., “It’s alright. I don’t mind. I know I look hot as hell. You’ll find your thing here. This place is good for people still figuring it out.”
Ava sat and thought about that for a moment. She didn’t think she had anything to figure out. She had to admit hearing it from a woman who seemed to know a thing or two more than her made her question that. “Do we have to wear those bikinis?” Ava asked, trying to move past the uncomfortable.
“No, we get to wear bikinis. Trust me, after working the beach for a while, you’ll wish you were wearing this. What’s the matter? You scared for people to see that cute little body of yours?”
Ava blushed. She thought it was cute? “No… just gonna take some getting used to, I guess.”
“You’re kind of a timid little puppy, aren’t you? I’m gonna have to crack you open.” Mercedes smirked. She could see Ava looking away and blushing. She enjoyed getting a rise out of people who couldn’t control themselves around her. She could tell Ava was going to be one of those people.
The cart came to a halt on a boardwalk. A sign by the entrance read “Welcome to Seraph Beach: Lie back and fill up.” Mercedes hopped off. The cart and fixed her bikini. Ava followed.
“Here we are, ladies. Good luck on your first day, Ava. Hope to see you again.” Kevin smiles at her, causing her to blush and look away. Mercedes stepped in between them, “Alright, alright. You got another group to pick up, cart boy.” Kevin smiled at her once more before driving off. Ava stayed on the boardwalk, but her eyes followed Kevin.
“He likes to play horn dog, but he’s harmless. Flirts with everyone but he’ll never make a pass at you.” Mercedes reassured her. She didn’t realize Ava wasn’t grossed out.
“Are all the guys here like that?” Ava said. Her eyes still following him as he disappeared down the road. Mercedes laughed as she saw Ava looking like she was in a trance. “Oh, you’re into him? Yeah, there are a lot of hot guys that work here. I guess you can take your shot with them, but they’re gonna want you to get fat.”
Ava snapped out of it and looked back at Mercedes, “Oh.”
“Yeah, that’s kind of a theme here, you’ll notice. Come on. We got work to do.” Mercedes continued down the boardwalk to the beach. Ava followed closely behind. Just as they crested the hill, Ava got her first look at what this resort really was.
The boardwalk continued right down to line the beach head and was covered by a brush roof for shade. At first, it looked like any other beach. Except no one was in the water. Instead, the customers were all sitting in beach chairs under shade on the beach. Ava remembered the sign-up front. “Lie back and fill up”. That was exactly what they were doing. Men and women in bathing suits walked around with trays of food bringing it to the waiting guests. The closer Ava got, the more of a picture she got of her new job setting. The customers’ physiques all ranged from mom and dad bods to some of the fattest people she’d ever seen. Every one of them was different. But what wasn’t different was the way they were eating. Every one of them was huffing down food like they’d die without it. Some gripped their bellies and tried to get them to expand more. You’d think they’d been starved, but looking at their bodies, they were quite the opposite. Ava had found a new thing she had a hard time looking away from.
Mercedes took the time to look at it, too. But clearly for a much different reason. “Beautiful, isn’t it?” Mercedes said with a glowing face. “It never gets old. Trust me.” She looked over at Ava, who had a very different reaction. “Oh, right. Not for you, I guess.” Mercedes was reminded once again that her new trainee wasn't “one of them”. “Alright, let’s go.”
Just at the end of the boardwalk was a small cabana where the workers gathered. They came back from their gluttonous customers to refill their trays and socialize. One in particular who seemed to be growing out of her bikini. Something Mercedes wasted no time mentioning. “Damn, girl. You think it’s time to size up? Your ass is about to snap out of that thing.” The girl turned and smiled. “You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”
Mercedes did have a point. The woman was spilling out of her bikini. Her boobs overflowed the cups. Her butt was swallowing her bottoms and was covered in cellulite. She’d stopped turning, but her body kept swaying. “Hey, girl. Who’s this?” The woman said, looking up, Ava.
“She’s the new girl. Or at least she might be. We’ll see.” Mercedes answered. There was a hint of annoyance in her voice.
The other woman put out her hand, “I’m Scarlett. Nice to have another hot little number like you on this beach. Ready to get your hands on some bellies.”
“She’s not into it like that. She’s a normie,” Mercedes interjected. Ava guessed that was the reason she had sounded annoyed before.
Scarlett’s welcoming demeanor changed to judgment as she withdrew her hand. “Oh…” Ava suddenly realized this was going to be a theme among people here. It wasn’t just going to be Mercedes that made her feel unwelcome.
“Relax, I already gave her the speech. She seems cool. Go easy on her.” Mercedes was once again speaking for Ava, but the tone of annoyance didn’t go away. Scarlett continued to look her up and down like she was sizing her up. “Well, if you can stay cool and not make anyone here feel like freaks, then maybe I won’t hate you.”
“I-I won’t,” Ava said. Trying to sound convincing, but her lack of confidence just made her sound like a again like a timid puppy.
“Your man is over there,” Scarlett said to Mercedes.
To which she chuckled, “Which one?”
“Uh… I don’t know. The big one. I think you call him Butterball?”
Mercedes lit up once again, “Oh, that one. He came to see me? So sweet.”
“Yeah, well, go easy on him. He looks like he should be taking a break.”
Mercedes looks off down the boardwalk, seemingly to find the guy Scarlett was talking about. “There's no breaks for my guests. You know that.”
