chapter 2 - the plan in action

"How much are we getting, Gordon?" Andre asked.

"At least ten pounds. I wanna be rich, Andre! Rich!" Gordon laughed.

"Gordon, chill," Andre chuckled. He weighed all the sweets they were going to purchase. It adds up to nine and a half pounds. What else should we get?"

"Doughnuts, dude," Gordon got few dozen doughnuts from the aisle nearby and put in on the scale. "10 pounds exactly!"

"Alright," Andre began. "Let's ring this all up and head back to work."

The two crossed the street, and headed towards Austin's office.

"We got ten pounds of food, sir," Andre said.

"Nice guys!" Austin said. "That's an extra $200 for you two."

"Nice!" Gordon said. He hip bumped Andre.

"Now leave the rest to me," Austin said.

"Just a quick question," Andre said. "Why are you doing this?"

"What do you mean?" Austin asked.

"Why are you trying to fatten Todd?" Andre asked.

" Dude, who cares? We're getting paid extra for literally doing nothing," Gordon said.

"Listen to Gordon," Austin said. "But if you must know it's because I do truly get bored here at work here too. I just wanna make things a bit more... fun and... dramatic!"

The two boys nodded and left the room.

"Now let's see how this will play out..." Austin said.

Austin headed over to Todd's cubicle with two boxes of a dozen doughnuts in each box. He knocked on the side of the cubicle and entered with a smile.

"Good morning Todd," Austin said.

"Good morning boss. How's everything going?" Todd said.

"Just perfect Todd. By the way, I just wanted to thank you for your hard work on our last project. I just have to reward you."

"Oh no, Mr. Austin. You don't need to. It was nothing."

"No, no, I insist. It's not much anyways. It's just two dozen doughnuts." Austin left the boxes next to his computer.

"Gee, thanks boss," Todd said.

"No problem, Todd. And also, come by my office in about an hour. We need to discuss our next project."

"Of course, sir," Todd said. He opened up the doughnut box and grabbed a doughnut. He took a big bite. "I'll be there."

"Thanks, buddy. I can always count on you!"
