Fat-erntity boys

chapter 3 - transferring

"Yo, bro! Over here!" Michael waved his hand.

"Coming!" Drew said as he locked his house door. Today, Drew would be attending a new university, one miles and miles away from where he was at now, and he was nervous. Not nervous because of the new atmosphere. Drew has an easy time finding friends with his casual and friendly personality; he was nervous about the fraternity, the initiation mainly. 200 pounds!? Really!? Even with the weight gain bars Michael and Daniel took, it'd be almost impossible for him to gain that much. His mind was like a tornado, causing thoughts to fumble around, creating new ideas that may have conflicted with others he had created in the past. For one, did he even want to get fat? Was all this worth it? Why was he doing this? For as long as he remembered, Drew was told that you gotta have a lean body image for people to like you. Although Drew completely disagreed with that statement, it was always haunted him that no one would ever like him without a healthy body image.

"You got everything," Michael asked.

Drew shut the trunk. "Yea, I got everything."

"Alright, let's hit the airport."

"What about Daniel?"

"Daniel's probably at the frat house now. He went early to let the others know that you'll be staying there."

"Oh, cool. How much people live there?"

"You'll be our 7th resident."

"Only 7 people!?"

"Yea, bro. Not many people can handle our initiation." Michael began to laugh.

"Oh, heh, yea..."

Drew and Michael sat on their seat. The plane was about to take off. Michael couldn't fit all his fat on his lap, so some slid down on Drew's lap. He didn't mind at all.

"Michael," Drew began. "I gotta ask you something."

Michael had a bag of chips on his belly. "Yea, what's up?" he asked with a mouthful of chips in his mouth.

"I, um, I don't know if- I," Drew stuttered.

Michael put his arm around the sweaty teen. "Dude, chill. What's wrong?"

"I don't know if I'm going to pass the initiation," Drew said.

"Oh dude, it's fine. You just-"

"No you don't understand," Drew blurted, cutting Michael off. "I don't think I even wanna pass the initiation."

"But I thought you wanted to transfer to be closer with Daniel and me..."

"I do! I miss you guys so ***ing much, but I just-" Drew paused. "I just don't know if I want to gain all that weight! 200 pounds! 200 ***ing pounds! You guys ate all that in a week with the help of your bars or whatever they are. I don't know! I just- I just don't think I wanna do it, and even if i change my mind, I know I just won't pass! It's hopeless..." A tear fell from Drew's eye. "I'm sorry Michael. I got your hopes up for nothing."

There was a long silence. The plane took off. Michael finished his bag of chips. He stuffed it in his pocket and pulled out another from a paper bag that was placed under his seat. This was going to be a long plane ride.
