Chapter 1 - Recalling the beginnings
You’ve just returned from your friends bridal shower. You’re buzzed, glowing. You’ve always been very social and the joy you get from seeing other’s pleasure, even when things haven’t been great for us, is such a draw. Looking back at our life together so farAlways the life of the party, your social circle grew wide during and after college. Tuesday to Saturday – Every night, a dinner, an outing, cocktails, canapes, a speech. But you were young. You had a metabolism fast. What were a few extra drinks and some snacks to keep the buzz balanced?
I remember when you gave up on the regular jobs market. Two internships, one stint in hospitality as an events planner. It was all so unfulfilling. You were sat in front of me, hands wrapped around a reassuring mug of cocoa. A winterscape, an urban sprawl, grey and dusted in snow behind you as you let off steam in-between gulps and nibbles. You wanted to help people. There was a pro-bono job going for a new charity. “Could we get by without two salaries for a bit until they could afford to pay me?”.
I was reassuring, it wouldn’t be easy, we’d have to make some sacrifices of course: Summer would be at your parents place up state; No more weekend breaks, airbnbs in new towns for the weekend. But when there were people suffering, why not make that sacrifice?
“We have each other,”
“we can pay the rent.”
“I can cook.”
We didnt need the gym: we had the park to run in and besides, you could walk to work on dry days.
And so it was decided, you’d take the plunge.
You had such a spring in your step.
The first weekend, we went to Costco, filled the freezer with whatever they had to offer. It was a month’s worth of meals ready to cook. It worked well. Simple food, wholesome like your new job.
Things were progressing well. You filed the papers and were a registered charity, you spent nights with the founder building the website, donations started to come in, you made a video to highlight the issues and solutions that could be done with just a little help from donors and those in power. It was quickly gaining momentum.
The feeling of achievement when you brought in your first large patron was clear. Your passions were heightened all weekend. We stayed in from Friday to Monday. We had some wine, you baked, I cooked, we used the bed in between. You were happy. Work was starting to be able to make a difference to people and it made you elated.
After dinner, we bathed together, talked of your dreams, your goals. You thanked me you my support. We dried off and headed to the bed.
I was entranced. You glowed. Looking up at your body, your eyes staring in to mine as you swayed your hips back and forth with my rhythm. You were hot, wet, empowered. Caressing your own body as much as you usuallyran your hands over my gym toned chest. You felt sexy, strong, deserving.
You wanted your climax and you rode me harder and faster. Your eyes went distant and slowly closed, you mouth parted as your breath quickened. Even over my own engrossed pleasure I could feel you grinding in harder and hard, you loins tightening preparing for your release.
Gripping my chest with your lithe fingers you moaned and gushed as you arrived at climax. I let go as soon as your weight started to fall to me.
That blissful post coital warmth. The scents, the slowing of both heart beats, the soft moans. I kissed the top of your head as you fell asleep on top of me.
