chapter 1: the fairy glutton

Location: Gula
Time: Juni 30th, 10:29 A.M.

A young small fairy by the name of Poppy Starlight had arrived in the city she had dreamed of going to for a long time. She had sky blue eyes that lit in the dark and long flowing light blond (almost white) pigtails. She was around 6 inches tall with a small gut stretching out her green dress.

Poppy: Oh My… This Is AMAZING!

Poppy zipped around the newfound futuristic looking city. There were lights and video advertisements everywhere.

?: Your first time here?
Poppy: Huh?

Poppy turned around and smacked into the stomach of a very fat woman.

?: Ooh… hehe watch it little one.
Poppy: Sorry… I was just … so… excited… wow.

Poppy stared at the women who seemed to be a wolfman. She was at least 6 feet with a body filled with fat all over but what was most impressive was her stomach. Her stomach was so large that it looked like she swallowed a couple of volleyballs. Her shirt barely covered her bellybutton.

Poppy: You’re so…
?: Big?

Poppy flies up closer to this wolf woman's fat filled face.

Poppy: Yeah.
?: Well compared to you, I must be a sight. I don’t see many fairies around here… especially not ones as plump as you.

The wolf poked Poppy in the stomach.

Poppy: Hehe, I just love food.
?: Well, You definitely came to the right place to find it. The whole place is full of restaurants and buffets. They are all so good.

The large wolf woman pointed to a buffet restaurant called The Silk Barbecue. She then rested her hand on her boulder sized stomach.

?: I got a buffet and a half of food in here right now… I haven’t been kicked out of anywhere. The workers haven’t even looked at me funny. Back in my own home, they couldn’t wait to kick me out for having my fill.
Poppy: Yeah, I had problems too… probably didn’t quite eat as much as you though, hehe.

The Wolf woman pokes Poppy in the stomach again.

Poppy: Ugh…
?: You’re a cheeky little thing aren't you.
Poppy: Hehe…
?: Well, I better go home and rest this gut. If I ate any more I would probably…

The wolf stopped talking… and stared into the distance.

Poppy: Huh? What are you looking at?

Poppy soon turned to see what the huge wolf girl was looking at. It appeared to be a restaurant buffet named, “Sweet Smith.”

?: Oh… I just heard that their cakes are amazing.
Poppy: They are?

The wolf woman patted her enormous stomach.

?: Just… just one more buffet… then I’ll go home. Those cakes are calling me…

The wolf woman started heading to the restaurant with amazing agility for someone her size.

Poppy: Wow she’s gonna eat again? That’s amazing. I wonder if I got time to…

Poppy used fairy magic to check the time.
Poppy: Oh no… I’m gonna be late.

Poppy flies off over the skyscrapers and buildings.

Location: Killua Glout
Time: Juni 30th, 10:58 A.M.

Poppy arrives in an area that looks like an extremely expensive college campus. The buildings are huge with elaborate detail and the people seem to be sparse.

Poppy: Oh.. no… they must already be in the building… I got to…

Poppy suddenly heard her stomach grumbling.

Poppy: Ugh… I want to eat… but I need to get to the orientation! I think I still have some grapes left.

Poppy pulls out a grape from a bag she has and bites into it immediately.

Poppy: So good… much better. Gotta hurry!

Poppy flies toward the center building.

Poppy: I hope they don’t mind me eating.

Location: Orientation Room
Time: Juni 30th, 11:06 A.M.

Poppy flew into the room as quietly as possible… The first thing she noticed was that it was huge. The second is that there were so many different people of different sizes and shapes… (mostly fat and round). There was also a human girl speaking to the crown.

Announcer: I will go on to the rules of Killua Glout.
Poppy: Oh… I made it.
Announcer: First… You will all compete in eating contests held depending on your rank. Your holo will show you contests that you will be qualified to join. These contests don’t have any set times that they happen. You could have one on Friday and another on Tuesday so pay attention to that. They also don’t have set rules… you may know what you will be eating or you may not… it depends.

The background lit up showing exactly how to join a contest to compete.

Announcer: As you can see it’s as easy as clicking on the one you want to join and confirming. You have to compete in at least one contest every month. Win or Lose… You cannot compete again until a week has passed.

The screen changes to a warning.

Announcer: If you confirm and don’t show up… it will count as a loss on your record and you will get a strike. This will also shorten your time limit to 3 days. If you don’t compete within your time limit, you get a strike. If you receive 3 strikes… you’re out.
Poppy: (So many rules… I just want to eat stuff.)
Announcer: This means, don’t try to fake entering a competition. You can easily rack up 2 strikes just like that. Also… If you fight, steal, bully, or anything like that… you will get strikes.

The screen then changes to the ranking system.

Announcer: Now, let’s talk about the ranking system. There are five ranks you could join and the one before is harder to join than the last. The ranks are… Mini, Tiny, Medium, Heavy, and Super Heavy. You will enter a certain rank at the start based on height and weight.

The woman steps up to the crowd.

Announcer: For example, if you’re around the same size as me… you would start in the Medium rank…. And so on.
Poppy: (That means I’m starting in mini for sure haha…)
Announcer: This means that no one is starting on equal footing but it’s the best way to give you a chance to win. I won’t deny that someone in mini will have trouble keeping up with someone medium. The challenges are much more extreme depending on rank.
Poppy: (I think I get it.)
Announcer: In each competition, you either win or lose. Second or Third doesn’t count, you lost. Once you win enough rounds… you get a chance to rank up. You will go against the worst performing person in the next rank and compete.

The screen changes to show something about winning and losing.

Announcer: If you win, you will get a trophy for conquering that rank and go to the next rank. You will also receive a rest period that lasts for three months. The challenges that you will have to face will be on a completely different level than what you’ve had before so even though we call it a rest period, we suggest you train. If you lose… you would go back to the rank and need to win a certain amount of times to try for a rank up again.
?: Wait… what about the low ranked person?
Announcer: If the low ranked person wins… they get to stay in the rank they are in…
?: Does that mean…
Announcer: That’s right… If they lose… they will go down a rank and need to win a certain amount of times to challenge for a rank up. Also, if you rank down and win a rank up, you do not get the same benefits. Only if you rank up above where you started will you get the benefits.

The hologram closes and the lights come on.

Announcer: And that’s about it… the room you will be living in is in your Killua Glout app where everything else is located. That’s it…

Everyone in the room started talking while the lady that had been speaking left.

Poppy: That’s it?

Poppy's stomach started growling again… she then placed her hand on her stomach.

Poppy: Let’s find my room first so I can finally eat all kinds of stuff. YAY!

Poppy flies out of the room excited.

Location: Lounging Office
Time: Juni 30th, 12:14 P.M.

The staff was on break and resting. The announcer walked into the office.

?: So Anita… What do you think about the freshman out there?

A tall dark skinned woman (6’5’) with white bunny ears and green eyes was resting in a chair.

Anita: You were out there too Frey… what do you think?
Frey: I know there were a lot of them. Plenty of humans, beastmen, lizardmen. I saw a few lamias, harpies, and ogres too so they should put on a show here.
Anita: Did you see the fairy?
Frey: The one eating grapes… yeah I say her. I was shocked because the fairies didn’t really seem interested in competing. I didn’t realize they were that small. She looks barely six inches tall.
Anita: Yeah, seeing a fairy is pretty rare… especially here. I heard their home is very far away from here.
Frey: Yet the elves have completely ignored us even though they are so close. They see this competition as uncouth and beneath them. I was hoping at least one would show.
Anita: That fairy is the smallest creature here.
Frey: Yeah… sadly I don’t see her getting too far.
Anita: I don’t know about that… she just casually ate 20 grapes during orientation.
Frey: So… any of us could do that.
Anita: You forget her size, that’s like me or you eating 20 watermelons… casually.
Frey: Oh… I see… still, she has to go against larger creatures even in her ranking. It will be hard for her to out eat them.
Anita: Maybe…

A large red headed woman with horns walked into the office with plenty of what looked to be burger bags. She was plenty fat with a stomach to show.

?: What are you girls gossiping about?… the freshmen?
Frey: We were just talking about the fairy girl. Did you manage to see her Yurany?
Yurany: I did… she was just munching away on those grapes wasn’t see. Such a small thang.
Frey: She seems to be Anita’s favorite. What about you? Who's your favorite?
Yurany: Well… I do think the little thing is cute and all but she’s got some fierce competition… not only from the freshmen… but others who have been here as well.


Location: Poppy’s Apartment
Time: Juni 30th, 1:23 P.M.

Poppy flew to the door of her apartment within the building.

Poppy: Finally… made it here. Taking my measurements and rank took forever. I’m starving. Everyone was so curious about me.

Poppy notices that the door is giant compared to her.

Poppy: Did they get my room wrong. People my size use the smaller units. Wait a minute…

Poppy flies right into her door… she is warped into a tidy darkened apartment with unique glowing neon flowers and decorations.

?: Hello, Poppy. I am the A.I. for this unit. The entrance is covered with an illusion spell because you are our first fairy and we didn’t want your privacy invaded. We had also heard that fairies like to keep to themselves. We hope that the accommodations are to your liking.

Poppy: Whoa… I love it. This place is amazing. Cozy but plenty of room.

A.I.: In order to have guests over… you have to invite them in to see your location. Even then, they will only see a regular unit when they enter.

Poppy: They really fixed this place up for me. This is awesome.

Poppy's stomach started growling.

Poppy: Right… I need food. I guess I can go to the cafeteria.
A.I.: If you need food, might I suggest the food synthesizer.
Poppy: Oh?

The A.I. lit up the item in the kitchen and Poppy followed.

Poppy: Hmm… how does this item work?
A.I.: Pick the item in which you want and confirm.
Poppy: Okay… let’s go with… chocolate chip cookies.

Poppy presses the button to confirm and an average sized chocolate chip cookie appears.

Poppy: Wow, it’s huge!

Poppy immediately takes a bite.

Poppy: Oh, so good! I can already tell I’m gonna have a lot of fun with this thing.


Chapter 1: End
