The family curse

Chapter 1 - The family curse

All the men in Jaxon's family were big not as in muscular but as in fat, there was no exception from this wherther it be his dad his uncle or even men who have married in to the family. His older sister first started dateing Matt when they were 20 he didn't have big muscles but he still had visible abs nonetheless by the time they were engaged two years into their relationship he had porked up with a large dadbod. They only stayed engaged a year before marrying but like all men in the family Matt began to aquire the signiture look.

He filled out, with his gut sagging down to the top if his thighs, he got hairier; growing a beard to hide his rounded face and letting his body hair grow not having any abs that it could cover anyway. In terms of fashion he stopped wearing designer shirts and dress trousers, instead opting for graphic tees and jeans. It was all apart of the family curse.

"Any man born or wed in to the Miller family lineage shall carry the weight of their forefather's sins". Once a man starts a relationship with a Miller or a Miller-man turned 24 the changes would start no matter how hard you fought them the change always occurs, changeing the person forever.

Watching his brother-in-law served as a worrying reminder of what was comeing Jaxon's way. Everyone in the family was told about the curse at one point or another, for Matt, his soon to be father-in-law told his when he engaged his daughter. It was a shock to him but also it made him realise how much he loved her.

Having married into the curse himself, Jaxon's dad helped Matt to adjust and it really created a strong father-son relation. Matt became the son that Jacon wasn't. Unlike Jaxon and his dad, They enjoyed the same things and liked hanging out together.

When Jaxon learned of the curse he was around 18 and had been rummaging around in his grandparents attic when he stumbled upon an oldbox of photo albums. Looking through them he found an album titled 'Daniel - the change'. Daniel was his uncle on his mother's side and like the rest of his family's men he was soft and round. The first photo was of Daniel blowing out candles on a cake. Annotated below 'Danial - 24th Birthday'.

If it weren't for this note Jaxon would never have believed that this was his rotund uncle. In the photo he looked similar to Jaxon. He was thin with a sharp jaw, Jaxon wondered how could his uncle have let himself go like this as he flipped the page.

The next photo shocked Jaxon, it was of his uncle at the beach titled 'Danial - Manista Beach summer 1984'. He had really stacked it on and had a belly hanging off him but what shocked Jaxon even more was when he worked out that this was only a couple of months after the last photo. Continuing to turn the pages the weight piled on, with photos from evert month or so. His uncle began to resemble how he looks now with his round face and big belly, but how was this possible.

Later that day Jaxon asked his grandmother about what was going on in the album and this was when he was told about the curse.
