Chapter 6

The next morning had arrived and Jami was getting ready for work. She decided to wear her new jeans and a cute shirt showing some cleavage. She had set her alarm this morning so she was up pretty early and had enough time to eat breakfast. She decided to make herself some French toast. She had about five pieces and smothered them with syrup. She felt full and headed for the door. Jake woke up just in time to catch her leaving out the front door. They kissed goodbye, and she headed for work. On her drive there, she decided to make a stop at the donut shop. She knew she was full from the five pieces of French toast she had eaten, but she couldn’t resist buying a couple of donuts. She loved that it wouldn’t be too much of an inconvenience of her getting to work since the donut shop was on her way to work. She decided to buy three glaze donuts. She ate the first two savoring each bite. She told herself that she would save the last one for later, but by the time she got to the salon she had eaten it.

She walked in, and headed to the back room to put her things down. Once she had set her things back there she decided to grab a water bottle from the fridge. The donuts had made her thirsty. “Hey girlie!” Jami heard from behind. She turned around to find Stacy. “Hey. What’s up?” Jami told her. “Oh nothing much just starting my week.” While saying this, Stacy had realized that Jami had a little belly developing as if it were a pooch. “Well what is this?” Stacy asked as she pinched Jami’s belly. “Nothing!” Jami said knocking her hand down,” I guess I just ate a little too much this morning.” I’m not so sure Jami. Looks like you have been overdoing it lately.” Stacy said as she examined Jami. “I mean look at your ass, it’s huge!” Jami laughed at this and replied, “I have always had a big ass!” Stacy came back with, “Honey you don’t just have a big ass, but a fat ass!” and smacked it. “Watch what you’re eating girl.” And with that, Stacy walked away. Jami then, being a little self-conscious, looked at herself. She thought to herself, “Wow, I don’t remember not being able to look down because my boobs were in the way?” She decided to make a mental note of weighing herself that night.

Elsewhere, Jake had gone to get Jami her birthday present. He brought her necklace from the local jeweler. He now had to buy the jeans. Unfortunately, he didn’t know that Jami had bought a bigger pair of jeans, so he bought her the size she had been wearing for a while. He headed home with that still with an hour to spare before Jami was going to be home. When he got home he wrapped up her presents and hid them.

That night, Jami decided to weigh herself after they had eaten dinner. She went into the bathroom, stepped on the scale, and waited for the number. The number read 142. She thought to herself, “Wow, I’ve almost gained ten pounds. Maybe Stacy is right; I might need to watch what I’m eating before I turn into a real butterball. Maybe before I make my final decision I’ll ask Jake what he thinks.” She headed to the living room where Jake was watching T.V. She entered the room and decided to just ask him, “Jake, babe, do you think I am getting fat?” When Jake heard this, he thought she was crazy and said, “Of course not babe! Not at all! I think you look beautiful.” She loved hearing this and made her decision right there and decided to ignore Stacy’s comments because she knew now that she was fine and had nothing to worry about. “Thanks babe, I was just concerned because I weighed myself right now and it said I gained 8 pounds.” She explained to him as she had sat atop of him. “Well if anything babe, it went all to your ass because that’s what it feels like.” He said and laughed. She laughed too and just softly hit him at his comment. "I'm not going to worry about my weight then, I mean, my metabolism has always been fast so I shouldn't have to worry about what I eat." And with that, Jami was calm and not worried about her weight and went to sleep anticipating her birthday the next day.
