Heavy cream weight did not stick

Imnothereghost:
Hi I tried using Heavy cream or really double cream here in the UK 300ml every night for 4 nights in a row (around 800 calories each night). A week later I seem to be back to where I started maybe 1lb heavier. Any help with what I am doing wrong?

As stated above, add it to things to make it more consistent.
One week gaining cycles are rarely successful no matter the method (gorging, couch based week, junk, candy, cream).

Always aim at 12 week cycles for either gains or losses.

With cream, the wife usually has a 3 month period where we sub it for milk (or supplement by making a half and half double cream/ whole milk). Firstly this consistently adds a lot of calories to the diet and secondly it gives the body time to get used to the added fat and hopefully adjust its enzymes accordingly to help with digestion.

I know cream can be expensive so 90days can be taxing: to help tesco and other stores has large pots of double cream on offer quite often including on yellow lable so you can freeze them in portions using an icecube bag. Add them to smoothies to cool them down, add them to sauces to make them rich, add them to coffee and blend to make frapuccinos.

Cute sweat

Wifestuffer:
This year she's finally gotten so fat she sweats all the time. I did NOT think I'd find it so cute and adorable. I always thought it would be awkward and a turn-off...but when you fall in love with someone who just keeps gaining weight, they keep surprising you.

When we started dating and she was just chubby and big-boned, she was always cold, and had to wear tons of layers and a girdle to keep her tummy warm so she didn't get sick. Now 100+ pounds later, she's a completely different woman. She comes home panting and even whimpering a little from how heavy she is, drops everything, strips naked and flops down on the couch to air her giant body off.

It's become so hot and sweaty in between her folds of flesh it's honestly shocking.
But she's also very tidy and has no body odor. Like a giant ripening fruit covered in hot forest dew. I seriously did not think I'd find it so sexy as she started sweating from being so obese.

Totally agree on the cute factor!

One thing I would say for caution is that a good akin care regime becomes more important for an obese partner: good hygiene, moisturising and possibly powdering help with keeping those rolls in top shape for pounds and pounds to come!

Is all purpose cream the same as heavy cream?

What different grades of cream are called varies from country to country. I live between Spain the UK and the USA and have found very little equivalence between the grades of cream.

In Spain there is “nata para reposteria” [Cream for deserts] which is around 20% fat and “nata para cocinar” [cream for cooking] which is around 12.5% fat. Ive not found a heavy cream equivalent at regular groceries but there is nata densa in a specialist dairy shop in Barcelona that has a cream at 38% fat in small jars.

In the UK there is double cream which is around 48% fat and there is single cream which is around 18% fat.

In New York (cant speak for all of the US), there is Heavy cream at about 38% fat, whipping cream which sometimes contains gumming agents to aid with whipping at around 32% fat and half and half which is around 15% fat.

Ultimately the market and country dictate the content but if you’re looking at finding an equivalent look for cream at around 35+% fat content by volume and you’re in the right ballpark.

What's the difference of boost and heavy cream?

Wantin28n:
New gainer trying to figure out things

Boost is full of carbs along with B complexes and whey protein. Heavy cream is not a formulated meal drink so lacks a lot of the carbs but contains more fats.

With regard to the results, as stated above, there is some evidence that heavy cream results in a more subcutaneous gain (more even distribution of fat under the skin and not around the organs) which means a softer look rather than a harder rounder belly look.

Sleep apnea/cpap and weight gain

2xChins:
Is Sleep Apnea something that's inevitable when gaining weight? I'm assuming so but I'm just wondering if there are any people out there that are above 300lbs and don't need one

I once has a fling with someone who was 148kg which is comfortably over 300lbs. She had no apnea issues, didn't snore either.

OSA incidence is correlated with obesity but as it is a physiological affect usually related to fat deposits near the upper airways, where your body deposits fat makes a big difference as to when/if you will develop it as you gain.

How do you make money when you're immobile?

mortal:
I've been seriously considering some of the bigger numbers as eventual goals, and I was wondering how I'd make money to eat at that weight? any ideas or experience?

Software/web development, Graphic Design, Architectural Design, Musical Composition, Script Writing, Editing, Trading, Financial analysis, Accountancy/Auditing, Trading.

There are plenty of jobs that can be done from a keyboard on a bariatric bed. What I would say is get qualified before going too big as exam centers aren't always bariatric adapted. So to become a CPA or CFA in accounting pr finance will need you to study and sit exams and from my experience most exam centers for the CFA are not well adapted for the very large.
WRT the other fields I mentioned, there are plenty of courses on the web but again, “qualification” often involves examinations. Not that a piece of paper matter so much in creative fields; it’s more the quality of your work and how sellable it is.

Thin face

Early dimensions mag days, Kelli was a real icon. interesting to see she may have resurfaced briefly.

Re thin face, ive lived in a number of countries and had a number of feeder/feedee relationships and although there are certain shape types that favor the thin face and there are nations with a larger proportion of that phenotype etc, I cannot see much more than genetics that really could explain it.

I once thought that it was hormonal factors driven by diet and the agricultural standards, however this is very loosely correlated from a vague observation of populations with shares agristandards and habits. Take aussi gainers vs north american gainers or even mexican vs canadian.

Weight gain and diabetes

fatluvinguy:
I've been recently diagnosed with Diabetes. I shouldn't be surprised as I've been actively gaining for the past few months and have gained about 30 pounds and weigh more than I ever have. I absolutely love packing on the pounds and really want to continue. Wondering if other gainers have found ways to balance their diabetes with weight gain. I'd love to hear some thoughts on this.

So obviously there is concern that you should be watching your diet. There are a number of options if you want to try reverse it. Your endocrinologist will be able to advise you of some changes you can make and also some pharmacological routes.

What i can say is that you may be lucky enough to be able to lose weight and regain in a healthier way. Not a heavy sugar, high visceral gain manner.

This is a hobby to a lot of us and just like others there can be “injuries” that require a step back but that doesn't mean you cant get back on it later after some recovery. Consider that if this was a power lifting forum a whole bunch of members would be on a upward path when they blow out their back or knees. Consider the route to recovery then get back in to it in a safer way or, if its an option, keep at it in a safer way
