Chapter 1

Year 2918

As I wake up I can’t help but smile as Mia brings me breakfast in bed

“Good morning” she says cheerfully as she places the food on the tray in front of me

I can’t help but look at her little triangle ears as they move back and forth

You see Mia is keiom she’s been genetically engineered to be my perfect little assistant but I can’t help but grow more fond of her every day

You see keioms are pretty much humans that have been genetically created to serve humans
They aren’t as bright and don’t really have any passions and interest
They’ve been created to serve and obey

There have been many debates about whether this should be legal or not but for now there have been some rules and regulations

“How are you doing today Mia ?” I ask as I have breakfast while she tides up my room

“I’m doing well Eric what about you?” She says happily

“I’m fine but I’d be even better if you’d join me for breakfast” she smiles and heads to the kitchen to grab her food

She sits on the bed in front of me and takes a bite out of the bars made specifically for keioms

“Why don’t you have some of my breakfast?” I ask as I grab a strawberry and place it in front of her lips

“We’re not allowed to have human food” she replies before taking another bite of her tasteless bar

“I won’t tell anyone if you won’t” I say as I place it in front of her lips

She smiles and takes a bite moaning a little in the process

“Mmhhh that’s amazing Eric thank you” she says as she finishes it

“You can have the rest of my plate I’m not feeling hungry this morning” I lie after noticing the delight she feels when she eats real food

“Are you sure you haven’t really touched your plate” She says confused

“I’m sure beside I need a shower anyway don’t fuss about me and enjoy your food” I say before giving her a kiss on the forehead and heading to the shower

I take a nice shower and can’t help but smile as I notice Mia enjoy the food when I come out

She had finished the stack of pancakes and the fruit that was on the tray maple syrup covering her face

“Mhhh that was sooooo good Eric thank you thank you thank you” she says happily

I grab a napkin and wipe her face as I sit next to her

“I’m glad you enjoyed that” I say happily

“But you should get changed maybe take a shower you eat like a 5 year old girl” I say pointing to her shirt

She giggles as she notices the mess she’s made

“Sorry Eric I’ll clean it right away anyway I like it better when you feed me anyway” she says before getting up and cleaning up
