Since it had been so a few weeks since the two saw each other, this was technically a "Special Occasion" for them, so Kaitlyn chose to wear her nicest clothes that still fit. She ended up wearing a light yellow sweater that showed of her newly acquired curves with an outstretched pink waist belt, a pair of white stretchy jeans which she used to call her "Fat Jeans", they were now considered her "Skinny Jeans", and to top it off, she decided that she would put on a pair of dark pink heels, a purple hair bow, and a black choker. Due to that Friday being the last weekday that she would be out of school, and Maggie just leaving her marching band practice and on the way, Kaitlyn had arrived about a half an hour before Maggie. Since she would be coming straight from practice, Maggie would be arriving in her Marching Band uniform, which was simply comprised of a white button up dress shirt, a sparkly purple vest, a pair of dark blue jeans, and coming in to finish the uniform, a pair of dark gray pumps and a black bow tie. When she got there, it took Maggie a little bit to recognize Kaitlyn due to, what Kaitlyn had kept referring to as "The Accident". Maggie immediately thought to herself "Wow! And I thought I was the Fat friend! She's gotta be 3 times my size now! Damn, how the tab-", it was then when her thoughts were interrupted by a vibrant "Hey Girl!". With that greeting, Maggie's thoughts were confirmed, the girl who was easily 3 times as big was Kaitlyn. The girl who used to be captain of the cheer team, the one who had once made fun of Maggie for having a little bit of pudge on her body was now a fat, 300 girl, finally making Kaitlyn the "Fat Friend", by a long shot at that. Despite all of that, and after catching up, telling each other about how they spent the last few weeks. Kaitlyn's story of the last weeks didn't really surprise Maggie now that she had seen her friends new size. Maggie's story of the previous weeks, however, did surprise Kaitlyn. Maggie had a story about how she also stopped working out because she didn't find it fun, now that Kaitlyn wasn't able go with her, she also excitingly exclaimed that she got an actual boyfriend who was the running back for their Universities football team. They had met through Kaitlyn a while back, and over time they grew feelings for each other, and those feelings evolved into legit love for each other. After Maggie had finished her story about her new boyfriend, Kaitlyn expressed her happiness for her best friend. Changing the subject, Maggie, already knowing the answer to her question, asked if she was ready for some food and Kaitlyn answered with a greedy "YES!". After a quick stroll filled with friendly chatter from where they were, they were excited to stuff themselves silly with the, what used to be usual, Cold Stone visit. Instead, at the end of their short journey, they were greeted by the new "Bakers Delight Superb Desserts" place which stood where their Cold Stone used to stand. After exchanging displeased, yet intrigued looks, they entered. When they crossed the Bakers Delight front doors threshold, their eyes wandered around, looking at all of the customers and interior décor. It was then when they noticed that not one skinny chick was inside, only women varying in sizes from as "small" as Kaitlyn, to women at least 5 times her size. Even thought there were no skinny women present, there were however, pictures that showed the women that looked exactly like the women that sat next to the pictures, the only difference was that the women in the pictures were around the same size as Maggie. This feature seemed so very weird to Maggie and Kaitlyn when they took notice. However, their eyes eventually locked onto their own pictures that were situated above two gray booths with blue-green cushions and screens on the sides, it was then when they looked at each other with worried glances, but at that moment, a waiter with a name tag with "Connor" displayed on it walked up to the two of them, took their names, and brought them to their seats. When they sat, they realized that the cushions were scales. They figured this out when they had looked at the screens on the sides after a starting up "BLEEP-BLOOP!" sounded from them, and then proceeded to display a 315 Lbs on Kaitlyn's screen and 145.76 Lbs on Maggie's screen. Connor then took note of these numbers/weights on a , logging them under a "Starting Weight" column on the page. Confused, both of the girls decided to start a short conversation with Connor. ================================================== ========== The Conversation between the three:
Kaitlyn: So, what the hell is the deal with this place, huh?
Maggie: Yeah, what's the big deal? Why are there no boys here? Why did Cold Stone leave?
Connor: Well, to start off, what's the big deal with this place? The deal with this place is that we're a mix between a bakery and a Ice Cream Parlor. I honestly why there aren't any male customers, even though they're apparently at every other location. Lastly, to answer your last question, the Baker family bought out Every, Single, Cold Stone location in the fucking world!
Kaitlyn and Maggie: Hold up! They did what?! Every location?! Is that even possible?
Connor: I don't even know, that's the story I got from them, but I fully believe them.
Kaitlyn: You believe that?! What are you related, or something?
Connor: Actually, yeah. My wife is Alexis Baker, the one of the daughters of the people who own the bakers Delight franchise.
Maggie: Oh, Cool! So, this is a franchise? Where else are you guys at?
Connor: Yeah, but how about we continue this conversation after you order and finish?
Maggie: Oh...okay, what do you recommend?
Connor: Well I would reco-
Kaitlyn: Sorry to interrupt, but I saw an sign outside of this place with a huge milkshake and cake, what's that about?
Connor: Ah, yes! You noticed our advertisement? That's for something called the "Teamwork CakeShake Challenge"! That's a new challenge where two people work together to finish a certain amount of rounds where the contestants will need to eat personal cakes and drink medium milkshakes in a timed manor. If the contestants win, they will be rewarded with many pieces of Bakers Delight Merchandise an a life time supply of free meals here!
Kaitlyn: Well that's interesting! Right, Maggie?
Maggie *Concerned*: Sure, the rewards amazing!... H-How many "rounds" are in this challenge?
Connor: I don't know. Depends on how many shakes and cakes the chef feels like making. ======================================= ===================== Connor's answer to her question didn't help the knot-like feeling that was constantly growing within her stomach. Kaitlyn was getting hungrier and hungrier, which caused her to start less and less patient with how long Maggie was taking to make a decision on what to do, between compete, or not competing. After some convincing from Kaitlyn, Maggie eventually agreed to competing in the challenge.
