Evan is strongly attracted to Wesley, but will Wesley think he catfished him when he sees he is chubbier in person than in his profile pic?

When they had their first date, Evan and Wesley were both new in Chicago. Evan had recently graduated from college in North Carolina-Wesley, on the opposite coast in Oregon. Each had landed a great job in Chicago-Evan in market analytics at United Airlines and Wesley as housekeeping manager at the Hyatt Regency.

Both were happy if a little bit nervous to be far away from family and lifelong friends. Evan loved his conservative Christian family, but he knew he could not be himself if he lived near them. They probably knew he was gay. It was kinda don't ask don't tell, and he knew he was more afraid than necessary, but he wanted to be free to become the adult he was meant to be before telling them. Wesley didn't have that issue, but his dad had come from Chicago, he was a White Sox and Bears fan, and he felt like he had met all the eligible guys his age at home, not quite finding what he was seeking.

Wesley knew what he was thinking, and he had explored and participated in the gainer community online, which made him hard every time he thought about it, but he figured he needed to be in a bigger city to find the right guy. He knew he wanted to date a gainer and to help a guy grow. He was not ready to let go of his own tall, trim, muscled body, though.

Evan had barely come out to himself, let alone been with a guy. He thought Wesley looked cute in his profile pic. He did like a ginger, and he was curious about how that hair color would look somewhere other than the top of Wesley's head.

After each had swiped right, they chatted through the app, then direct message with their real phone numbers, then by voice on the phone for about a month. They quickly found out that they both lived in Wriglyville, both lived alone, and both were eager to make friends and meet people in Chicago. Wesley had a gym in the area. Evan hadn't found one yet. He had checked out a few, even the one Wesley mentioned, but nothing had clicked.
Conversation turned to Chicago's amazing restaurants. Evan was basking in Italian food heaven. Deep dish pizza was a revelation. Wesley had found Asian food of every nationality. Evan also liked Asian, and Wesley had enjoyed deep dish pizza on visits to Chicago growing up.

They had totally hit it off in texts and on the phone. It was time to meet, but when Wesley suggested an Italian place, Evan thought it would be better to meet for coffee or a drink first. Evan's excuse was that it was his first date with a guy, so he should take it slow. Wesley understood.

Evan's real reason was that he feared that Wesley wouldn't find him attractive in person. His profile pic wasn't more than six months old, but he had put on some weight during graduation and all the celebrations and then the stress of moving and not yet having a gym. He was up to 195, a little shocking to him, the most he had ever weighed. He had stayed in shape through college, entering at a buff and jacked 175 and keeping up his routine for all but the last month of college. He graduated at 180, most of the gain being muscle over the years, while pretty much all of his friends had gained more in college. Now, though, he had filled out, maybe a tiny bit more than that, with a pinch of flab at the gut and love handles. Wesley would probably think he had been catfished.

Still, Evan was surprised that he didn't hate his body. He had been a chubby kid, and maybe this was his destiny. He hadn't joined a gym, after all, and nobody forced the pizza on him!

So it was with trepidation that Evan met Wesley at a coffee shop on Saturday morning. Wesley looked just like his picture. Such a cutie. Wesley welcomed him to the coffee shop with a big hug. He was apparently smitten. Evan should not have worried. The only thing that surprised Evan was that Wesley already had a plate of pastries on the table. Not that strange, though, since Wesley already had one with a bite out of it in front of him. There were two more on the plate, and Wesley said he would get more if there was nothing to Evan's liking there, but they both looked amazing to Evan, who got his coffee, grabbed a pastry, and was immediately comfortable with his adorable and thoughtful date.

As they talked, they found out how much they had in common. Both liked their new jobs, which weren't too far from one another. Both had great families but were ready for the distance. Neither had met all that many people outside of work since moving to town, though Wesley knew some guys at the gym and Evan knew a few in his building.

After some deeper conversation, Evan realized that he had finished his croissant, while Wesley's eclair was only half eaten. The eclair looked good. There was another on the plate, but Evan didn't dare take it. He didn't want to look like a pig in front of Wesley. Just then, Wesley said, "The eclair is amazing. Have the other!" Evan begged off, complaining that he had gotten so fat since moving to Chicago. "You only live once," Wesley said. "Enjoy it. You're hot has fuck." Evan took the eclair. Though there wasn't all that much time for eating in all the hours of talking, Evan finished his eclair, his second pastry, before Wesley finished his first.

They made their plans for the next time. An Italian restaurant, of course. A place with Evan's favorite, deep dish pizza. Evan would have to join a gym first or really watch his intake if he wasn't gonna get fat for real. Wesley seemed OK with him as he was, but what if he gained more?

As they said goodnight, Wesley leaned in for a kiss. Evan put his hand on Wesley's butt, and Wesley slipped his hand inside Evan's shirt. He grabbed a pinch of flab and rubbed his erect if fully clothed manhood up against Evan's leg.
