Chapter 1 - Outbreak of gluttony
Drew and Julia are top-tier fitness trainers. They run a popular gym together, have sponsorships with health food companies, and live the ultra-clean, ultra-lean lifestyle. But one morning, everything changes. Julia wakes up first, groggy and stretching.“Ugh, I feel off. Maybe I’ll grab a smoothie before our morning run.” She heads to the kitchen but stops dead in her tracks. The fridge is filled, not with kale and protein shakes, but with cheesecakes, triple-layer bacon lasagna, and gallon tubs of frosting. Drew walks in shirtless, scratching his head.“What the hell happened to our fridge? Where’s the oat milk and egg whites?”
Julia nervously poked a tub of buttercream. “I don’t know… This better be a prank.”
They rush outside. Every jogger is waddling. The smoothie shop is now a “Shake Shack” selling 2,000-calorie peanut butter milkshakes. Even the water fountains now spurt out soda. Drew checks his phone and says, “Wait… Every article says kale is now considered ‘junk food’ and deep-fried Twinkies are the new superfood?! This can’t be real.” Julia became overwhelmed and grabbed a donut to calm her nerves. One bite and her eyes rolled back.
“Oh my god… this is the best thing I’ve ever tasted…”
Drew stared at her and said, “You just ate that like it was your last meal.”
Julia starts licking sugar off her fingers and says, “It might be. Drew… I think we’re screwed.” As Julia, chewing down the donut, follows Drew to the front of their house, a moan slipped through her lips. “MMM. I don’t think I ever had something this good.” She quickly finished it up, but looked around shocked. Then she walks around their kitchen seeing nothing but junk food, and EXTREME Junk at that.
“This can’t be good….We’re fitness trainers. We run a gym….How are we going to handle this?” Drew said, grabbing another donut, stuffing it into his mouth. Julia stood at only 5”1’ and 120 toned and fit pounds with long blonde hair.
She says “This sucks. I’m hungry and we’re surrounded by JUNK! We need to get rid of all this food and restock with something better!” She says, as Drew continued looking around, still seeing their neighbors looking chubbier. Then he searched on google about the mass world changes that had occurred overnight. Drew stood frozen in his front yard, phone in hand, scrolling through article after article.
“Julia… it’s everywhere. Every country. Every store. Even the government food pyramid has been replaced with… a cake.” He turns the screen to show her: a glistening, eight-tier buttercream monstrosity labeled “Optimal Nutrition.” Drew’s abs tightened from stress as Julia came back in and scanned the kitchen. His eyes lock on her just as she stuffs a second donut into her mouth, powdered sugar clinging to her lips. “You’re eating another one already?” Drew says, half-joking, half-alarmed. But Julia chews with such hunger, eyes glazing over with a mix of frustration and pure indulgence. Drew moves toward the pantry, opens it and just sees a junk food haven. Not a single vegetable or grain in sight. Even the protein powder had been replaced with “Mega Bulk Weight Gain Formula – Now with Marshmallow Chunks!” “This is insane,” Drew mutters. “We’ve spent years sculpting ourselves and now the whole damn planet’s fattening up.”
Julia crossed her arms, belly already pushing slightly against her crop top after just two donuts. She says “We can’t let this ruin everything. We have to stay in control.” Just then Drew’s stomach lets out a loud gurgle, and his eyes flick guiltily to the snack counter. Without thinking, Drew’s hand reached out and grabbed a frosted cookie the size of a plate.
“…Maybe just one more to hold me over,” he mumbles. In between mouthfuls, Drew says, “Julia… this might be more dangerous than we thought. Whatever this is, it's not just the food. It’s us and we’re already giving in.” He glanced down. Drew’s shorts felt tighter too. Something was happening… and staying lean might not be an option anymore.
Julia slaps Drew’s hand away from the cookie as he looked to almost be stuck in a trance after eating the first one. “No…No…we need to have self control…no giving in to temptation!” Julia says, looking as anxious as he looks. They both become thirsty. They walk over to the cabinet, grabbing the Mega Bulk WG Formula.
“Maybe the bulk is muscles?” Drew poured the thick mixture into a glass and took a long sip, his eyes widened. He then leaned the cup more into his mouth, chugging it down, not letting a drop fall. “OMG…..That’s like the best drink I ever had in my life!” Drew says as he blushes, feeling a tingle shock through his entire body, his thighs widen just a bit as he licked his lips putting it down. “Maybe everything is still normal and just a temporary change….We just gotta keep ourselves disciplined,” Drew says, as Julia ends up eating the cookie, with a smirk. Julia looked at him with a face of annoyance. “Okay maybe one wouldn’t hurt.” Drew smirked with the cookie halfway to his mouth as Julia swats his hand away, eyes wide, hair tousled, and that determined little frown on her face. “You’re seriously gonna lecture me on self-control,” Drew teased, “with frosting still on your cheek?”
But then he sees it. The shake in her hand.“That “Mega Bulk WG Formula” looked like straight-up cake batter, and the way you chugged it… like your body needed it.” The sound of her gulping, the flush in her cheeks, the soft moan that slipped out as her thighs plumped ever so slightly, it sent a jolt down his spine. Julia sets the glass down, a little breathless, lips glistening.
“Maybe everything is normal still and just a temporary change ... .We just gotta keep ourselves disciplined,” she said, clearly trying to convince herself more than him. Drew raised the cookie again, slow and deliberate this time, watching her eyes follow it. “Disciplined,” he repeats, taking a bite, letting the warm, gooey chocolate hit his tongue. Drew’s knees nearly buckled.
“Oh man…” Julia groans, licking melted chocolate off his fingers as Drew leans back against the counter. “If this is what the world’s like now… I’m not sure we’re gonna want to fight it.”
Drew reached for the formula tub. “Maybe a little muscle gain isn’t the worst thing," he adds with a grin, flexing for effect, but even he feels the difference. His shirt clings tighter across his chest… and not in the usual, post-pump way. Julia looked at him, jaw clenching like she wanted to protest, but her belly let out another audible growl
