Chapter 1

“I told you this would happen.” She messaged him from her seat. The airline had split them up again.

She caught the flight attendant’s attention, and asked if she could provide a seat belt extender to her husband in isle 14.

“On its way.” She messaged him, then glanced back over her shoulder from her seat to catch his eye, as he glanced up from his phone. “Serves you right for that large breakfast in the business lounge!” She typed to him with a smiley face.

“I didn’t order it!” He replied, with an angry faced emoji.

“That’s beside the point!” She sent him a winking eyed emoji after that.

“Seat belt extender just about fits.” He messaged her once it had arrived.

“There’s a chubby woman next to you too.” She replied back. “Quite the payload in isle 14 today!”

“She’s not that chubby.” Came his quick response.

“No, compared to you. She's not.” She sent him a devil emoji after that. “I’ll take a look at the in-flight menu for you, then we should meet by the bathroom for a mid-flight 'treat'.”

“Mile high club?” He asked, cheekily.

“Not sure you’d even fit.” She replied back. “Need to turn off my phone for take off. Order a snack, meal, and two desserts.”

“And a beer.” She added, hurriedly, before she was asked by the stewardess to turn off her phone.

“Okie-dokie.” He replied, quickly.

She glanced back at him and blew him a kiss as she turned off her phone.

“They’re talking about you.” She sent him a message over the in-flight wi-fi by now.

“They’re not!” He replied back.

“No prizes for guessing who ordered two desserts in isle 14 … ‘Direct quote’. Mark my words.”

“Sure. Sure.” He replied, as she glanced over her shoulder and fired him a sly wink as she puffed out her cheeks. “You should ask for another dessert when you’re done with that one.” She messaged him back.

“We have a bathroom date to keep.” He pointed out to her. “Remember that?”

“That’s third dessert dependent.” She typed back, with a sly grinning emoji and devil face.

“You’re incorrigible!” He replied further.

“I know.” She replied back.
