Over the hump?

PlusSize52:
1) What changed that made things easier?

2) How much weight did you have to gain to get there?

For me, I have been wanting to gain for a long time but social pressure made me hesitant to jump in. Then the pandemic hit. Working from home had an impact on my weight. I did not know how much at first because I didn’t keep a scale at home. It was seeing my weight at the doctor’s just over 200 pounds that sparked something. For me, that was the heaviest I have ever been, and I loved it. Seeing that number made me think, this is all right… what if I ate just a little more on purpose? From there, it became a need, and while I’ve taken breaks between active and more passive gaining, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m over the hump and loving it.

Great story! How about the social pressure? Were your fears of it worse than the reality? Or did you love gaining so much you didn't care?

Double belly flattening out??

Double bellies occasionally turn into mono bellies, but it’s pretty rare. Could only find three on Stufferdb, and even those weren’t true double-bellies--more like a belly with a crease:

I can’t find any cases of someone going mono-to-double, unless you count people who start out with a completely flat mono-belly:

Over the hump?

Many feedees are very conflicted at first but less so after they get "over the hump," that is, after they gain a certain amount. Maybe they realize their fears about gaining were exaggerated, maybe they've reached the point where others in their lives have given up nagging them about their weight, maybe their love for overeating has become dominant...I guess there are lots of possible reasons. It occurs to me it might help feedees who are just starting out (or thinking about it) to hear about the hump.

So if you've gone over the hump in this way:

1) What changed that made things easier?

2) How much weight did you have to gain to get there?

3) Has there been more than one hump? If so please answer 1) and 2) for each one.

Arbitrary goals besides weight? what are yours?

I'm not a feedee but I'll jump in anyway. I like functional goals, for example:

1) When you gain weight quickly and become a bit clumsier because you aren't used to your new weight and size, and start bumping into things with your hips and such.

2) I'm conflicted over people gaining so much that it's crippling--even if it's kind of hot I'd feel bad for you. But if it's a _bit_ of a struggle to get out of chairs or climb stairs or walk much faster than a waddle, if it's almost impossible to run, that's cute AF.

3) Appetite goals...if you used to have trouble finishing a cheeseburger with fries and now two quarter-pounder with cheese meals aren't enough, that's amazing.

4) Shamelessness--you used to be too shy to overeat in public. But now you love eating so much that you don't care, or at least don't let it slow you down.

Any one else have such goals?

Questions for feedees on eating more

There are lots of things people like about getting fat, but let's focus on the eating part for a moment. Assuming you've gained weight on purpose:

1. Is the freedom to eat all you want part of the fun? What percent?

2. Has your capacity increased since you've gained? Is that part of the fun? What percent? And do you enjoy that more and more as you get bigger and your capacity increases?

After achieving your goal weight

Some people do reach a weight they're comfortable with and stop there. But they usually find other things they want to do. If all you have in your life is weight-gain I suspect it'll never be enough.

Tired of scammers

Are you kidding me? People try to scam me multiple times every day, on the phone, on email, snail mail, text and facebook, before I even get to any of the feedist sites.

Ditzy:
At least a hooker on the street you know what she or he is all about you pay to play so to speak.

Not true. People--including hookers or fake hookers--may also scam you in person if they get the chance.

Most people are pretty decent, but there have always been scammers and always will be. Feedist communities are no different.

Keep your guard up.

Before / after picture ideas?

Sitting on the floor and getting back up...and you can't hold on to a chair or cane or anything. This will get harder as you gain.

Sitting in a chair with your legs crossed. It will be harder to cross your legs as you gain.

Maintaining you weight once you reach your goal

CuriousAmy13:
For those people who want to reach their goal and maintain that goal, did you find it easy to hover around your goal or were you not able to stay at it and found yourself going up no matter what you did?

How easy is it to reach your goal, and stay around your goal -/+10?

Or once you start going up, you will always be going up, it is just a matter or how quickly?

I have no hard data, but it seems to me the people who can't stop are usually those who, once a week or more, stuff themselves to the point they can't take a deep breath. They get addicted to that feeling and can't quit.

Most people can quit, but they often can't stop on a dime...they'll gain another ten or twenty pounds after they start cutting back. So if you do end up gaining a bit more than you plan, don't stress about it...it's par for the course.
