Chapter 1 : It's a match !

Mary had been single for almost a year and had tried several dating apps but nothing seemed to work out for her. She had almost given up hope when she decided to give one last app a chance. That's where she met Pete. They matched and started talking that night. Mary was immediately intrigued by Pete's sense of humor and witty comebacks.

As they continued chatting, Mary found out that Pete was an avid traveler and had been to many places that she had always wanted to visit. He had even lived in Japan for a year and spoke fluent Japanese. Mary was impressed and asked Pete more about his travels.

Pete was equally fascinated by Mary's passion for cooking and her love for animals. They both bonded over their shared love of animals and exchanged stories about their pets. Pete even sent Mary a picture of his golden retriever, which made her heart melt.

They continued to chat for weeks, sharing stories about their lives and interests. Mary found herself looking forward to their conversations every day. Finally, they decided to meet in person. They agreed to meet at a cozy coffee shop in the heart of the city.

Mary was nervous as she waited for Pete to arrive, but when he finally walked in, her nerves immediately disappeared. They greeted each other with a hug and sat down at a table by the window. They spent the next few hours chatting and laughing, sipping on lattes and sharing stories.

As the day came to an end, Mary realized that she had found someone special. She knew that there was something different about Pete, something that she had never felt before. As they said their goodbyes, Pete leaned in and gave her a kiss on the cheek, making her heart skip a beat.

For their second date, Mary and Pete decided to go to a cozy Italian restaurant that Pete had discovered on one of his travels. They were greeted by the warm scent of garlic and fresh bread as they entered, and the soft light of the candles on each table created a romantic atmosphere.

They were seated at a small table in the corner, and as they perused the menu, Mary noticed how attentive and considerate Pete was. He made sure to ask about her preferences and allergies, and even helped her choose the perfect wine to accompany their meal.

When the appetizers arrived, Mary eagerly dug in, savoring each bite of the bruschetta and the Caprese salad. But she didn't stop there - when it came time to order the main course, she chose the largest seafood platter on the menu, with every type of seafood imaginable.

As the food arrived, Mary's eyes widened with excitement. She couldn't wait to try everything. But as she started eating, she realized that she had ordered too much. She was already feeling full from the appetizers, and the seafood platter was much larger than she had anticipated.

Despite feeling stuffed, Mary was determined to finish every bite. She kept eating, even though she was starting to feel uncomfortable. By the time they reached dessert, Mary was feeling bloated and uncomfortable, but she still insisted on ordering the tiramisu.

As they finished the meal, Mary couldn't help but feel embarrassed by how much she had eaten. She knew that she had ordered too much, and she felt self-conscious about how full she felt. She was afraid that Pete would think she was gluttonous or that she lacked self-control.

But to her surprise, Pete didn't seem to mind at all. He simply smiled and told her that he was happy to see her enjoying the food. Mary felt relieved and grateful for his understanding.

After dinner, they decided to take a stroll in a nearby park. The moon was bright and the stars were out, making it a perfect night for a walk. They held hands as they walked, talking and laughing together.

As they reached a small fountain, Pete turned to Mary and said, "I have a confession to make. I've been thinking about you a lot since our first date, and I can't stop thinking about you."

Mary felt her heart skip a beat as she looked into Pete's eyes. "I feel the same way," she said, feeling a wave of happiness wash over her.

Without hesitation, Pete leaned in and gave her a kiss. It was gentle at first, but as the passion grew, Mary found herself lost in the moment. She knew that she had found someone special in Pete, and that this was only the beginning of their journey together.
