Out of the moonlight

Chapter 52 - the sleepover: part 2

123.
Caroline Kincaid stopped a moment to study the girl on her doorstep. Annie was bulging out of her grey stretch pants. They were so tight on her that, as she entered the house, Caroline could swear that she could see every dimple on the girl's wobbling and all too well-outlined, backside. The unfortunate porker was constantly tugging at her undersized trousers. With each step she took, they seemed to slide down, leaving a sizeable patch of her blubbery belly on display.

The poor girl's top wasn't faring much better. Her t-shirt had probably been baggy on her not too long ago, but now it sat just a little too tight around her fleshy arms and her flabby gut.

Dear god, the girl had gotten fat.

As she greeted her daughter's friend, Caroline considered whether she ought to bring this fact to her attention. Perhaps, she mused, it would be best to leave well enough alone.

She soon decided on the former course of action. It might be a little rude to bring the girl's weight up, but, as far as she was concerned, it was better than coddling her and shielding her from the truth. If nobody was willing to call her out, Annie might well just keep on eating herself into an obese tub of lard.

"I see you've been eating well," said Caroline, frowning as she poked her finger into Annie's doughy gut.

"Yeah, I guess," the chestnut-haired girl shrugged.

"I don't mean to criticize, you understand," said Caroline, "but you've put on a fair bit lately. If I were you, I'd hold back on the food a bit."

Annie frowned miserably, but said nothing.

"I mean," Caroline continued, "you're already bigger than your mother, and at your age she was still a tiny little thing. At this rate I dare hardly think what you might look like a few years from now."

Annie didn't make a sound, but she did throw a self-conscious glance in the direction of the overgrown gut peeking out past her swollen chest.

Feeling that her duty had been done, Caroline decided to let the subject rest in favour of another question that'd been burning at the back of her mind.

"By the way, I haven't seen that Faye girl around much lately. What is she up to these days?"

"Oh, not much really," Annie rolled her eyes, "eating mostly, I guess. She's got quite an appetite. It's like she can't stop anymore."

"Is that so," said Caroline, her curiosity far from sated. "Well, if I were you I'd be careful to avoid taking after her example." Annie yelped as Mrs Kincaid pinched one of her floppy love handles. "You'll find Lettie in her room upstairs," the older woman smirked, "along with the rest of your friends."

As Annie headed off upstairs, her thighs and buttocks quivering with each awkward step she took, Caroline considered the sheer amount of weight the chestnut-haired girl had put on. If she was that much bigger then how fat must her fiery-haired friend be?

Annie's heart was in her throat as she opened the door to Lettie's room. She wished she'd had something nicer to wear. Sadly, these days, she hardly had anything that fit her other than her jammies and the outfit she wore while working at the bakery. The clothes she had on were the only ones she'd been able to find. They were neither very flattering nor very comfortable, but she could at least get them on.

"Hi," said Annie softly as she entered Lettie's room.

Lettie, Lilly and Martha were all gathered around the golden-haired girl's bed. They'd already put on their night clothes, and now they were just lounging about. Lilly sat at the foot of the bed, her tiny body lost within her white, oversized t-shirt, while Martha was on the floor with her back against the bed frame. The Amazonian beauty was dressed in a pair of sweats that hugged her firm thighs and a tank top that left her sleek, muscled shoulders on display. Lettie, meanwhile, lay on her bed, reclining like a goddess out of a renaissance painting. She was dressed in a sky-blue silk negligée as her luminous golden hair flowed down her shoulders. Looking up to see Annie in her doorway, the golden-haired girl smiled.

"There you are! I was wondering when you'd show. Come on, have a seat," she said and patted her bed.

"Long time, no see," said Martha as Annie planted her blubbery butt at the edge of Lettie's bed. "What have you been up to lately?"

"Oh, you know, not much really," the chestnut-haired girl answered with a nervous shrug.

"Is that so," Martha smirked. "Looks like you've had plenty to eat, at least."

On the other side of the bed Lilly let out an involuntary snort as her fit friend gave Annie's belly a light slap.

"Yeah, I guess," said Annie, grimacing as she put her hand on the aching patch of pale flab that Martha's powerful fingers had landed on.

"It must be nice, living in a bakery," said Martha, "so many little treats to munch on. It's no wonder that diet of yours didn't work out."

Annie sighed. She was way bigger now than she had been when she'd first started her diet. Back then she'd been a bit pudgy, sure, but now she was certifiably obese, morbidly so even.

"Oh, lay off her," Lettie let out a melodious little giggle. "I think those extra pounds suit you. They make you look all soft and cuddly."

Annie blushed as the golden-haired girl put her arms around her and squeezed the soft, sagging ring of flab that had subsumed her once slender midriff.

As the four girls spent the evening talking and gorging on a ridiculous amount of snacks, most of which, of course, ended up in Annie's sizeable stomach. The chestnut-haired girl soon found that she was having a lot of fun. In spite of Martha's slight, but obvious, disgust at the state of her figure, Annie's worries were soon washed away. Though they might tease her from time to time, the three girls were still her friends. They liked her just the same, no matter how many layers of jiggling jelly her body was covered in.

As the evening wore on, Lettie suggested a game of truth or dare. Annie was hesitant about the idea, but decided to go along all the same. For the first few rounds, not a single challenge was thrown at the chestnut-haired girl. But then, about five minutes in, Martha turned to Annie with a smirk on her face. "Truth or dare?" she asked.

Annie hesitated.

"Um, truth, I think," she said at last.

"Alright," grinned Martha. "What's your current weight?"

Annie frowned.

"Actually, if it's alright with you, I think I'll go with a dare instead."

"Sure thing," Martha said and then paused dramatically. "I dare you," she exclaimed, "to step on Lettie's bathroom scale and let us see the results."

"Oh come on," Annie whined, looking pleadingly towards Lettie. "Can't I do something else instead?"

"Sorry sweetie," the golden-haired girl said and shook her head sympathetically. "Rules are rules."

It'd been several months since Annie had last weighed herself. She'd sworn off scales some time ago, when she'd stopped liking what they had to show her. As such, she was more than a little nervous as she stepped on Lettie's sleek, black bathroom scale.

"249 pounds," erupted Lilly, wide-eyed, once the scale had finally settled on a number. "Wow, you're as big as two of us put together," the tiny thing continued, as tactful as ever.

Some minutes later, it was, in fact, Lilly's turn to throw her hefty friend a question, as Annie, after the incident with the scale, had decided that she'd had enough of dares for a while.

"Hm, let's see here," Lilly pondered. "Oh, I know! List every last thing you ate yesterday. And don't leave anything out, no matter how small."

"Alright," Annie shrugged, "but I think you might be disappointed. I didn't really eat all that much yesterday. Now, let's see here," she continued, thinking back as best she could. "I woke up at about 10:30 and grabbed myself a candy bar before breakfast. Then, at breakfast, I ate five sausages, three fried eggs, seven strips of bacon, and two slices of toast with cheese and ham on. Then, before lunch, I had a few small treats; I guess, two cupcakes, four cookies, and some chocolates. For lunch, I had three plates of pasta carbonara and a tub of ice cream for desert..."

As Annie's list went on, her friends stared at her in disbelief. As the words left her mouth, the girl herself was surprised at the sheer amount of food that she had put away. Usually, she didn't bother to keep track of what went in her mouth. So, until now, she hadn't realised how much she was really eating.

"Well, well," said Martha, reaching over to give Annie's bulging belly a pat, "it's no mystery where all this came from then."

Annie's cheeks turned a bright red.

"Well, um, no, I guess not..." she said as she nervously shoved a handful of chocolates between her lips.

Thanks Kipler, I’m glad you’re enjoying the story, and flattered that you’ve gone to such lengths to leave a comment. It’s a challenging piece to write sometimes, I’m not sure every chapter has quite worked out, but, overall, I’m very pleased with it.
