Chapter 7 - panic

Scott got to know Robyn pretty well during their Saturday feasts and he became genuinely impressed with how much more stamina Robyn was developing when it came to food.

"Come on, let's go!" Robyn said excitedly as she got into his car one Saturday afternoon. Scott was used to seeing her wearing tight outfits, but the blouse she had on today was obscene. Scott knew instantly where Robyn wanted to go just by looking at her. "I booked a table for us at that Argentinian place you were on about. You know, with the food challenge? I didn't think it would be so busy but we have a table in 20 minutes which they will keep for us, if we're there on time."

Scott looked at the clock. Twenty minutes to get across town? He'd have to put his foot down. "Are you sure about that outfit?" he asked gingerly, not wanting to offend her; but Robyn wasn't having any of it, too concerned about being late.

Once they got going, Scott could see Robyn wriggling about in her tight blouse, uncomfortable with the fit. She tried to adjust the chair several times and finally reached under the chair to pull the lever and move it back. That's when Scott heard an undeniable pop. "Did you just...?" he asked, trying to sneak glances across whilst keeping his eyes on the road.

Robyn held up the rogue button in her hand, the curve of her new belly and blooming chest evident between the remaining buttons. "Damn!" she grumbled. "What am I going to do?"

Pragmatically, Scott took a left and pulled up outside a cheap store that stocked pretty much everything. "I'll have to run in and get you a t shirt or something. We don't have time to go back and get you changed," he explained, already hopping out of the car and standing there, looking back in. "What size do you wear?" he asked, suddenly realising that Robyn probably had no idea what size clothes she should wear, considering how tight everything was on her.

"I wear a size 10," she shot back automatically.

Scott looked down at her busted blouse. "Are you sure about that?" he asked sceptically.

"What are you saying?" Robyn asked, with panic in her voice as she looked at the clock. "Fine, whatever, get me a 14. Just hurry up, or we're going to lose our table."

Scott wasn't too sure about larger girls' clothes sizes, but he was pretty sure that Robyn was going to be way too big, even for a size 14.
Three minutes later, he threw a t shirt at Robyn, still sat in the passenger seat. She sighed with relief and unbuttoned her blouse. That was, Scott realised, his first proper glance of what was happening to Robyn. Even with her tight clothes, she still looked solid and defined with her blouse on. But as her flesh was exposed, Scott could see the blubber rolling out of her bra and her upper arms jiggling as she hastily moved in a panic to get dressed and on the road again. Her belly, even in this empty state, had a clear line where it pushed out under her bra, as well as a further roll where her belly button would have been; swelling again and curving delightfully until it swallowed the belt of her pants. She slipped the t shirt down and smiled happily. "It fits fine," she breezed, wanting Scott to start the engine again.

Scott looked down, seeing the exposed inch of belly that it hadn't quite covered. "If you say so..." he sighed happily, turning the engine on again and setting off.
