Chapter 3 - the work begins

Taking on the nutritionist role for Josie’s team was incredibly time-consuming, even with all of the little tricks Kalitana could play to get out of most of the work. These humans seemed to take high-level tennis very seriously; but their knowledge of the human body was infantile. Humanity had such little grasp of understanding about their own flesh. It was utterly pitiful.

The fetish Josie had been infected with did not arrive fully-formed in a single day. Just like any other fetish, it took time to develop and mature. It needed nurturing and to be cared for. Mallus had insisted that this operation be handled with the upmost care and attention. Usually Kalitana would simply infect someone else close to the target and have the two of them gradually spur each other on in whatever fetish she had chosen for them. But Mallus had not liked that idea. He wanted Kalitana to manage the situation herself, down to the very last detail.

“Kali, these seem like an awful lot of calories for Josie to be taking on,” the tennis star’s manager questioned. The woman was always questioning Kali’s meal plans. It would have been nice to get rid of her somehow, but Mallus had advised against it. The situation was too delicate for anything to turn Josie’s life upside down right now. Kalitana supposed that he was probably right, gritting her teeth as the arrogant woman rambled on to her. Many times she had thought about quitting altogether instead. But, in all honesty, she could hardly quit just yet. She needed to be there to check on Josie, so that she could know when it would be time to put the next part of her plan into action.

It took four weeks for Josie’s scent to shift to any measurable amount. But Kalitana picked it up immediately whilst she stood there at the side of the court one day, before their scheduled meeting. It was the smell of a human girl's inexplicable increase in libido, and a sexual hunger that a woman just couldn’t seem to shift.

Kalitana grinned, watching Josie prepare backstage for her match. “Good luck!” she smiled at Josie as they walked down corridor; Kalitana stopping just as Josie stepped into the large court, packed full of people within the stands. They were cheering and clapping, excited to see England’s finest on top-form. But Kalitana smirked. These people were indeed about to see an unforgettable performance, but not in the way that they had hoped.

At the end of the second set, things were getting desperate on court. Josie had her opponent playing catch-up, but she just couldn’t seem to get away entirely. She was getting desperate to avoid a third set, reckless and taking too many chances. Kalitana spotted her chance.

Josie had jumped high into the air to smash a powerful shot down into her opponent’s half. It was an impressive move that would win her the point. But the demon focused her mind hard, feeling each second trickle by like an hour. She concentrated on Josie’s feet as they came back down to earth after making the high jump. Then, with her well-practised skill, she shifted Josie’s left foot awkwardly as it continued to descend. Down the girl fell, with the full force of gravity doing everything Kalitana needed.

‘CRACK!’

Before anyone could say anything, Josie was on the floor, the match suddenly stopped.
A stretcher was carried over and Kalitana looked over from the stands, trying to fake as much concern as she could.

Phase two of the plan was complete.
