Chapter 2 - a morning to remember
It was a couple of months later when it actually happened. Rachel could remember it distinctly.Daniel had been up for a little while and made some breakfast in bed for them both, dressed only in his tight little underpants. “Morning sexy!” he had smiled, leaning over and kissing Rachel on the lips. “So…” he began teasingly. “…I thought we could spend the whole day in bed together today,” he winked playfully. “You know, like we used to…”
Rachel recoiled slightly. Something about the kiss was not right.
“What’s up?” Daniel asked, sensing the shift in his girl.
“I… I need to head out this morning,” Rachel mumbled, trying to get out of bed without spilling any juice on the breakfast tray. “I have stuff I need to do.”
“Like what?” Daniel laughed, standing up beside her, not believing a word. He loved it when Rachel played hard to get.
Rachel looked at her fiancé’s skinny body with a little repulsion. “I just need to do some things,” she mumbled, trying not to look at Daniel’s protrusive hip bones or scrawny thighs.
“Oh, come on!” Daniel smiled obliviously. “It’ll be much more fun with me!” he promised, slowly pushing Rachel up against the wall for another kiss.
Rachel’s heart was beating faster, but not from lust. She just knew that she needed to get out of there. Her hands slipped onto her boyfriend’s small, slender butt and she could hardly take it anymore. “I just need to get out of here!” she blasted, slipping out from her position and getting herself dressed as fast as possible in anything that she could find.
It was then, right then, that she knew she couldn’t marry Daniel; no matter how much anyone tried to convince her otherwise. It was hard to explain to people what went wrong, especially to Daniel himself. Rachel seemed to find herself telling people that she had just fallen out of love with her fiancé. People rolled their eyes at that. But worse still, Daniel had been heartbroken. But what was Rachel supposed to do? She could hardly pretend! Could she? Daniel deserved so much better than that. He deserved better than she would ever be able to give him again.
