chapter 5

By the time Ellen returned from the restrooms Andrew had added another 8 points to his total. She sauntered over to him, her cheeks still a little flushed from the embarrassment of busting out of her trousers. The sweats were far too big for her and they were only being kept up by the drawstring that was pulled tight around her newly softened middle.

“Everything okay?” asked Andrew

“Yeah, thanks.” replied Ellen “I’m not sure what happened there” she said as she placed his bag down next to hers.

“I’ve got a good idea” muttered Andrew under his breath

“What was that?” questioned Ellen, slightly annoyed.

“I said it’s your turn” he smiled feebly

Ellen arched an eyebrow at him before grabbing her ball and sure enough, scoring another strike, it was as if she could do no wrong tonight. Of course, this also meant that another 30lbs was added to her weight as it was added to her score. Her belly gave in to gravity and began to hang, her arms had become rounded, hiding the musculature that had been there at the start of the evening. Her cheeks had softened, filling out her once angular features and a plump double chin had started to obscure her neck.

“Oh wow” exclaimed Andrew “you’ve not missed a pin yet, you’re on course for a perfect game!”

“Quiet!” hissed Ellen “You don’t mention it! I don’t want to be jinxed!”

“Oh, sorry” replied Andrew “Don’t worry, I won’t mention your increasing number again, my lips are sealed.”

“See that you don’t” she laughed as she took a seat.

Her increasing size had done nothing to diminish her hunger and she looked towards her plate, forgetting that she had already polished off her sandwich.

“Are you going to finish that?” she asked as she eyed Andrew’s half eaten sub while scratching her inflated middle.

“Be my guest” he smiled as he took his turn, Ellen didn’t even hear his retort as she’d already begun devouring his leftover sandwich.

“I have no doubt I’ll need to make another trip to the snack bar soon anyway.” he said to himself as his score updated.
