Fuller by the Day

Chapter 1 - Self discovery

Madeline had always prided herself on discipline. She ate healthily, worked out regularly, and never let herself indulge too much at least, not publicly. But lately, something had changed, though she couldn't quite put her finger on when it had begun. It was as if her body had slowly started to crave more, and the cravings weren't just for food. They felt deeper, almost insatiable, like an itch that could never be scratched. The pull was subtle at first, almost unnoticeable.

She had been walking home from work when it started. The subtle scent of a bakery drifted through the air, and without thinking, her feet led her toward it. Normally, she would have passed by with a quick glance, but that day, her mind lingered, drawn in by an invisible force. Inside, the shop was warm, the air thick with the aroma of fresh pastries. She didn’t even know what she was looking for when she approached the counter, but before she realized it, she had a chocolate croissant in her hand, paying for it without hesitation.

The first bite was almost euphoric the flaky, buttery layers melting in her mouth, rich chocolate oozing from the center. She had expected to feel a wave of guilt afterward, but instead, she felt… content. She finished the croissant with ease, and before she knew it, her feet were already leading her to a nearby café where she bought a thick slice of cake. She hadn’t planned to eat this much she hadn’t even thought about it. But it felt right somehow. Almost like she was meant to.

That night, she sat on her couch, feeling unusually full. Her jeans, which had always fit comfortably, felt tight around her hips. She hadn’t noticed the weight gain at first, but now, her stomach pressed uncomfortably against the waistband. She unbuttoned her pants, trying to give herself some relief, but it didn’t help. Her belly was swollen, pushing out from beneath her shirt. It was different, thicker, fuller, and there was a strange satisfaction in the heaviness.

"Just a fluke," she muttered to herself, turning on the TV to distract her. But the tension didn’t ease. In fact, the more she sat there, the more the feeling of fullness stayed with her, gnawing at her, almost like a comfort.

It wasn’t just the food. It was her body. She could feel her skin stretching, her stomach slightly protruding as if it had been gradually changing without her noticing. Was it just the extra calories from the pastries, or was something else going on? It felt more than that more than just food. It felt like a shift, an inevitability, as though her body was conspiring against her.

The next morning, Madeline was still trying to shake off the strange feeling. She went about her day as usual, but there was a nagging sensation that kept tugging at her. She hadn’t felt quite like herself for days, and the odd cravings hadn’t stopped. It was as if her body was urging her to feed it, to nourish it, but in a way she had never known before. It wasn’t just hunger it was something deeper, something insistent.

It wasn’t until lunch that the next part of the strange series of events began. Madeline sat down at her usual café, ordering a sandwich she always enjoyed. But as she stared at the plate, something inside her shifted. She reached for the chips next to her meal, mindlessly popping one into her mouth. Then another. And another. Before she realized it, she had eaten the entire bag of chips, washed down with the last sip of her drink. And yet, the hunger hadn’t gone away.

“Just a little more,” she thought, almost as if she was obeying a command she didn’t quite understand. The pull was there again, that invisible force urging her to take more. Her eyes drifted to the dessert display on the counter, and without hesitation, she found herself standing, ordering a slice of lemon meringue pie. When she returned to her seat, it was like she had no control over the actions that followed. She devoured the pie quickly, savoring every bite.

As the sweetness spread across her tongue, she closed her eyes for a moment, feeling a warmth in her chest, a sense of relief. But it was more than that. It was almost as if she was being filled in a way she hadn’t realized she was missing. It was comfort pure, unrestrained comfort. She had felt something similar in the past, but it had always been a momentary escape, a fleeting indulgence. This was different. It was like she had opened the floodgates, and now, there was no turning back.

By the time she finished, Madeline felt full in a way that was unfamiliar to her. But as the seconds passed, she felt a strange peace. Her stomach was round, her body heavy, and the pull to eat more was still there stronger than ever.

That night, she stood before her mirror, examining her reflection in the dim light. The changes were subtle but undeniable. Her jeans felt tighter around her hips, and there was a noticeable roundness to her belly that hadn’t been there a few days ago. It wasn’t just the fullness from the meal; her body had changed. She looked different softer, fuller, somehow more alive. The subtle jiggle in her thighs as she moved was something she hadn’t noticed before. She hadn’t planned for this. It had just… happened.

And then it hit her. The pull. It wasn’t just about food. It wasn’t just about the craving. It was something deeper. Something she couldn’t resist, even if she wanted to. And deep down, part of her didn’t want to.

She wasn’t sure if it was the food that was changing her or if it was the hunger itself this all-consuming desire for more. But as she stood there, touching her belly with a mixture of confusion and curiosity, she knew one thing for certain: this wasn’t a passing phase. Something inside her had shifted, and she could feel it. She was becoming someone new.

Someone bigger.
