chapter 2

Hannah sat waiting to go into her childhood doctors office with her mum.

"Honey I'm just concerned with how big you've gotten i don't think you realize" her mum said.

Hannah sat in her chair, aware of how tight she now fit into it. What was once a flat athletic body was now a flabby soft belly resting on her lap a few inches out. Her jeans dug slightly into her belly and she tried to pull them up to make it more comfortable. Since her weight gain she had tried to hold off on buying new clothes being in denial so she's started wearing clothes she use to wear to relax in. An oversized shirt, skirt, dress and sweater. The sort of clothes thT would have been extra big and comfy before were now clinging to every bit of extra fat hanging to her small frame.

Hannah tried to suck in but looking down still saw a belly there. This was real and permanent. Her once small facial features had also changed. Once chizeled, her face had become
Round and soft and a double chin had begun to form.

"Hannah!" The nurse called, looking through thr room. Hannah, eased herself up off her chair and made her way to the room
With her mum.

"Ok let's have you hop on the scale here," thr nurse said.. looking at Hannah and already beginning to move the dials.

Hannah reluctantly stepped up, feeling how heavy just one of her feet tipped the scales. Then the other, the dial sliding to the end.

"Ok... hmm..looks like..one.. eighty.. two.
One eighty two. Ok" the nurse said, trying to hide her face.

Hannah couldnt believe it. The last time she'd weighed herself she had gained about 10 pounds from ber regular 135.. but she never thought she'd gotten that much fatter. Could her mom be right?

"Hannah," her mum said. " see! You're closer to 200 pounds right now than you are your regular weight sweetheart!

The nurse did her best to ignore them and bring them into thr drs office to wait.

" Please change into this gown'" she said, passing one along.

Hannah began to change, her bellied freed from her too tight clothes expanding and beginning to hang and push out far over her too tight underware.
