chapter 3
Chapter 3 ~ the motherGrace, the mother of the family, is similar to all the mothers Elise has met. Severe and thin, distant and bitter like coffee. Elise often wonders how Peter cares for that woman, him being a little sunshine of man, striking from this boring middle-class family.
She knows Grace used to be fatter - Peter showed him pictures once - and more importantly, she knows Peter loves bigger girls. Now, Elise never was on the chubby side, but she'd do anything to keep Peter to her, including letting Peter fattening her up.
'I need new clothes, Mom', I say to her one morning as we're all eating breakfast.
She stares at me, top to bottom - taking notice of how my shirt fails to cover entirely my belly, and my jeans looking 2 sizes too small.
'You wouldn't need more clothes if you stopped eating so much, darling', she says.
Everyone at the table laughs as I blush. I'm so stupid, I should not have asked her like this. The breakfast continues and I take time eating my thirds portions of everything. By the time I'm finished, everyone has stopped eating and my jean button popped a few bites back.
'Fine,' she barks a few seconds later. 'I'll let some cash for you on your desk later. I see no point in trying to stop you from eating anyway'.
'-Sweet!' Elise thinks. She really wants new fitting clothes. She slowly gets up from the table and goes sit in the living room, already looking at clothes on her phone. She wishes it was only Peter and her in here, so she could rub her belly and he'd feed her some donuts.
She reminded herself that she'd be seeing him tonight anyway, so it was fine. She couldn't wait to be with him.
