Chapter 1 psyched up or psyched out?

Samuel looked in the mirror as he spoke, what he saw was a familiar sight. About six feet tall, and fairly thin with brown hair and eyes. The man had a short, scruffy beard that he thought made him look manly. Sam didn’t think he was much to look at, even if people compared him to a rom com character. But he knew that he wasn’t ugly. Samuel felt he looked very average. He had no idea how he was so fortunate that he could end up with the woman he was dating. Jenny was way out of his league according to Sam. She was beyond kind, she was smart to the same degree, and she was the most beautiful woman that he had ever seen. That wasn’t hyperbole for his girlfriend either, Sam had felt that when he first saw Jenny too. He wanted to marry the woman. Honestly, Samuel wanted that within a month of knowing her. Jenny had told him it was too soon, and that they should wait until the two were in a more stable place in life. Sam had agreed, he hated it, but he agreed. Mainly because he also thought that he should be able to be open about everything with a woman before he married her, and now only one secret remained. So, Samuel’s attention returned to the mirror. The man was trying to psych himself out to spill a secret “It’s simple. Tell her you like big girls. That’s all.” He said to himself, “You’ve been with Jenny for five years, you plan on proposing to her. She won’t be mad at you.” He sighed, before finishing, “At the very worst she’ll tease you when she sees you eat for a while. No big deal.” Still, Sam was terrified that he may be wrong, and the idea of destroying his only chance to be with somebody so perfect was terrifying. So he continued to practice and plan what he would say.

Meanwhile, Jenny was also looking into a mirror. She was psyching herself out too, also to confess a kink to her lover. Also similarly to her boyfriend, the woman saw herself as average, even though she had always been told that she was pretty. Jenny had blonde hair, and a somewhat thin, but largely nondescript face Jenny’s friends often compared her and her boyfriend to characters from one cheesy romance movie or another. But, most of all Jenny was thin. She was always told that she was beautiful and shouldn’t change a thing. Worst of all, the main thing that people complimented Jenny on was exactly what she hated. She was skinny, thin, tiny, practically two dimensional. Any number of ways to say that there was almost no fat on her body. But Jenny didn’t agree. That skinny face always aggravated the woman when she looked in the mirror. Jenny thought she was far too thin. She didn’t have the heart to tell her boyfriend, but Jenny honestly felt the same way about him too. Jenny loved fat in a way that she knew was probably unhealthy. But she couldn’t lie to herself about this. Jenny almost always thought that every person she saw would look better if they put on a few pounds. Then put on a few more after that, then a few more. Jenny rarely ever thought that anybody should stop gaining weight, and every time she looked in the mirror Jenny wished that she saw more of herself. She hated the idea of telling Samuel that he wasn’t enough for her as he was. But, when Jenny was honest with herself, she knew she’d like him more if he were bigger. Jenny honestly wanted that for them both. She’d never admit it to anybody, because it was beyond shallow. But Jenny was worried that she wouldn’t be happy married to a man who didn’t feel the same way she did about fattening.

But Jenny was wishing for a different sort of change today. Today she wanted to be more courageous, to tell somebody how she felt. To tell her boyfriend, Samuel to be precise. Jenny spoke in a friendly, yet nervous voice as she looked into the mirror, saying “Okay Jenny, it’ll be fine. You’ve known Sam since high school, and he has been nothing but understanding the entire time. He didn’t even join in with the other guys making fun of the gay kid in our class when we were sixteen.” Jenny sighed deeply as she thought. No, Sam is not judgmental. But he isn’t stupid either. She continued, “Why the fuck would he get mad at me saying I like fat? Like, maybe he wouldn’t want me to gain weight, and I’m sure he wouldn’t want to do it himself.” Jenny sighed deeply as she stared at her reflection, then mumbled, “But me might be disgusted.” Jenny hated the idea of Samuel looking at her in disgust, it was why she’d kept quiet about marriage for all these years. Jenny hadn’t mentioned it once after declining his first proposal.

Jenny was worried about the idea of gaining weight. She knew that Sam would never admit it if he thought she was getting ugly, especially not as she reached toward her own fantasies. But things have been getting pretty serious lately, she sighed again and rested her head against the mirror, groaning, “He should at least know, right?” she began to tear up a bit and pounded on the mirror, rattling it in a way that made her fearful for a moment, replacing her sorrow with panic, if only for a second. When the glass stopped shaking Jenny said “No, Sam won’t hate me for it. But he will be suspicious every time I eat, and doubly so when I bring him food of his own.” Jenny grimaced at the idea of making Samuel look at her with suspicion and fear from here on out. That would be just as bad as disgust. Maybe it really would be better to just remain silent?” Jenny hung her head low and leaned on the mirror, before saying, “No, I’ve already kept this a secret for too long. I will tell him tonight.” Jenny began to write out a text to her boyfriend, the easiest way was to say it now, before she could lose the courage to speak entirely. Jenny read the text out loud as she typed it out, “Hey Sammy, I have something I’ve got to tell you.” Then, before he could even answer, she sent a second text, which read, “Actually. I want to do it in person. Let’s meet up tonight.”

Samuel read the texts and broke out into a cold sweat, looking back at himself in the mirror, and grumbling, “Well, that can’t be good.” Before sighing and stepping away from the mirror to sit on the side of his bed. When seated Samuel sent a text of his own, saying, “Good timing, I actually have something that I need to tell you too. Does Applebee’s at 7 sound good?” he then received a text back that said “Great, now we BOTH get to do some nail biting till then. But yeah, Applebee’s at 7 works.” The man spoke to his reflection, “Well, that much is done.”

As seven O’ clock drew near, the two continued to unknowingly mirror each other. Each asked their reflections the same questions. What if they hate me? What if they hate the idea of gaining weight? What if they want to become even skinnier in retaliation? What if they want to make ME get skinnier in retaliation? Should I tell them before we order, or after? Why did I (or he) have to suggest a restaurant? Both sighed in what was shockingly close to unison, given their distance, then both asked “If I get too much food, how hard will they judge me? Should I get something light and diet friendly, just to lessen the impact of it all? Minimizing the food present may do that. Or would they take that badly?”

This continued through the day. Neither Samuel nor Jenny could free their mind from the dread of telling their secret, and even worse, of whatever it is that the other would say. Eventually though, the moment of truth was at hand.

Sam and Jenny ran into each other in front of the Applebee’s. After the couple had said their hellos, Sam said “Okay. So, do you want to tell each other stuff now, or should we wait until we’re sitting down, or maybe after eating.” He thought of how awkwardness and dread would ruin the date and shook his head. Then Samuel said. No, no let’s just say it now I ha-“ for Jenny to cut him off with “I like fat. Like, a lot. I want to gain weight, and I want you too as well, you know, if you’re okay with that.” Jenny had no idea what she’d do when he declined. So she just kept talking, never even noticing that Samuel's jaw had dropped in shock as she said “Yeah, I like fat in general. Like, men, women, myself. It's weird, I’m straight, but I still like it when women are bigger, it’s just pleasant to look at. I guess that’s why ‘pleasantly plump’ is a saying. I think that-“ as Jenny continued her little rambling speech Sam continued to stare. His brain was just trying to process what was going on. As it did, Jenny said “In all honesty, I would love it if we both gained weight. Like, every time I look in the mirror I-“ which is where Sam spoke, “I like bigger girls. I’ve wanted to tell you for a while.” Which hit Jenny like a truck going a hundred miles an hour. She looked at her boyfriend in shock, saying “Come again,” And laughing nervously as she said, “I must have misheard you.” Sam shook his head and said “No, you didn’t. I’m the same as you. Well, not the exact same. I honestly don’t care how much a guy weighs, and I’ve never looked in the mirror and wished I was heavier. But yeah, I like big girls. Like, I used to look at pictures online before I met you.” Jenny cut her boyfriend off with another bout of laughter, before saying “Sorry, sorry, didn’t mean to interrupt, laughter is just my pressure release when I’m nervous or stressed.” The couple stared at one another in awkward silence for about five seconds before Sam said “So, want to go get dinner? Like, I am honestly pretty hungry. Don’t worry about me trying to make you eat more, I wouldn’t be that controlling.” To which Jenny said “Now. What if I actually wanted to gain weight?” Sam couldn’t smile more if he tried, as he answered, “I’d buy you two desserts after the meal.” Jenny bit her lower lip and blushed as she said “And you wouldn’t get mad if I, like, gained a bit of weight. You know, just a bit, just to see what it’s like.” To which Sam chuckled and said “I just offered to help you gain weight. I wouldn’t have a problem with you gaining until it started causing mobility or health problems.” Jenny stepped forward and kissed Sam deeply, putting a hand on each of his cheeks, kissing him between each pair of words as she said, “That, is, so, fucking, hot,” before hugging him tightly. Jenny felt Sam's member pressing into her and glanced downward before returning her gaze to Sam's face and saying “Well,” and gently stroking Sam through his pants as she finished, “Looks like I’m not the only one who thinks that.” She then kissed her boyfriend again and nodded her head toward the restaurant, saying “Now, let’s get those desserts you mentioned. I’m suddenly starving. Absolutely ravenous.” Sam smiled and took the door handle, saying, “I can’t wait.”

The hostess showed the couple to an empty booth the moment they asked, once she was out of earshot Jenny spoke in a hushed tone, “So, you would want to fatten me up like a pig, wouldn’t you?” while blushing and grinning mischievously. Sam returned her statement in the same hushed tone and with the same giddy energy, “Till you’re too fat to move.” Jenny smiled and said “Oh thank God, that sounds so good I want to eat enough food for ten people tonight.” Sam said “Don’t worry hon. There’s no time limit. You’ve got all day to eat and your while life to get nice and plump.” Then Jenny said something that returned Sam to feeling nervous and uncertain, “We’ve got our while life. I think I’ll get a normal dinner, and two desserts like you said. How much are you gonna eat?”

Samuel had gone over a thousand scenarios of how this could go wrong in his head. He had prepared an answer for what to do if Jenny laughed at his desires, if she was judgmental, if she didn’t care, and if she was against it for medical reasons. Her wanting him to gain weight with her was not a scenario he had anticipated. So Samuel said “I had thought it was just going to be you ea-“ and fell silent as he saw Jenny frown. Samuel loved that Jenny had no filter for her facial expressions. If she was happy, he knew with a glance. The same was true if she was angry, sad, frightened, or almost anything else. She simply couldn’t hide her feelings from him. So, right now Samuel knew with absolute certainty, that she did not like his response. He said “You want me to get fat too, don’t you?” with a nervous grimace. Jenny nodded her head hard enough that her hair lost its shape as she simply said “Yes.” Sam’s head went to all to all of his reasons to say “no.” He wanted to be fast and strong, being fat would get in the way of that. Samuel wanted people to look at him and think that this was a man, a powerful, healthy, strong, dangerous man. Then he realized that he was asking Jenny to sacrifice the exact same things for him. Apparently, he took too long to think, as Jenny replied, “Oh. That’s what you meant. You want me to be the only one gaining weight, don’t you?” Sam continued to grimace as he nodded, saying “Yes, but I love you. I want to marry you, and I would be a hypocrite to tell you to do it for me when I won’t for you.” He stared at his menu for a moment, just to avert his gaze from Jenny.

Before either could say a thing, a waitress walked up to the table and asked the couple “Good afternoon, I’m Meghan and I’ll be your server tonight,” in a bubbly, happy voice. Sam never had much of a wandering eye issue, but something about this waitress caught his eye. She was blonde, a little short, and hhad bright eyes, with a bubbly personality. Sam tried to act like it didn’t matter, but he also noted that she had a pretty large chest too, a C cup at least, and probably a D. Sam tried to take his mind off of bad thoughts and focus on the woman’s words. She continued, “Do you know what you want yet? I would suggest the four cheese mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken. It is easily my favorite thing on the menu. The dish has penne pasta instead of macaroni, it is then buried in an Alfredo sauce and bacon bits, and drizzled in a mildly spicy honey sauce. M There’s even a discount if you get it and another similar item, we throw in an app too for the deal, it’s a great offer for couples.” Sam had an idea, he could make Jenny happy again, and the waitress’s suggestion was perfect.

Originally Sam was going to get a steak, but this would have fatty chicken, carb laden pasta, and a sugary sauce, with bacon and Alfredo sauce to boot. It was the perfect way to start gaining weight and Jenny would know that instantly. So, Samuel asked Jenny “Are you ready to order?” and she nodded, saying “Yeah, but I don’t want anything from the two for menu really.” She faced the waitress and asked, “Can I get the hot honey chicken?” the waitress nodded and took down the order as Samuel thought to himself. This is a special night, and I can’t seize of my dream while callously refusing Jenny’s. I want to marry her, to love her and give my all for my wife to be; and I’ll start by doing what she wants tonight. So he said “I’ll take the two for deal, and get two orders of the chicken mac and cheese dish you mentioned. For the appetizer I’ll take the spinach artichoke dip.” To which Jenny looked at him and said “You aren’t ordering for me, I already ordered something.” Samuel smiled and said “I know, they’re both for me. I just don’t feel like sweets tonight. So I’m doubling this instead of having desserts. You’re still getting two of those, right?” silently ruing the effect this meal would have on his bank account.

Samuel really did love the way Jenny’s face showed emotion, and this was the best he’d seen. Surprise and delight lit up the woman’s face as the waitress went to put in their orders. She tried to be kind and said “Sammy, you don’t have t-“ for Samuel to lean across the table and put a finger over her lips, saying “I know. You just handed me my wildest dreams on a silver platter. I’m only returning the favor.” Jenny bounced up and down in her seat, grinning so widely that she briefly looked like a lunatic, before saying, “Oh my God! Thank you so much Samuel. You have no idea how many of my dreams you just made come true. Don’t worry. I know what you’re sacrificing for me, and I’ll get so fat that I can’t even stand if you keep this up. Just to make you smile.” Sam smiled just hearing that, and said “No, that isn’t practical. I’d never-“ for Jenny to cut him off with, “Then how about this. It’ll motivate you to keep eating too. I’ll put on twice as much weight as you do. Wait, actually, would you want that? Like, how big would you want me, be honest, not nice.” Samuel replied “Nah, I can’t ask for everything I want. It’s not fair to ask for you to gain that much. Let’s say a hundred pounds.” To which Jenny responded, “I love that your idea of a mild gain is a hundred pounds. But I actually want to do even more than that, so don’t worry. I’ll keep gaining twice the weight you do, so, you can stop gaining at any time and I will too.” She gave a giddy little laugh, and said “But I really hope you don’t.” Sam felt like he may have just opened Pandora’s box. Still, he had never been so excited at the prospect of gaining weight. He said, “God, I feel nervous already. I want to do this, but is it stupid to do?” Jenny smiled warmly as she said “Don’t worry, we can research and plan how to do this right tomorrow. For tonight, let’s indulge and eat until we’re fit to burst!” blushing more and more deeply as she spoke. The woman’s face screamed of lust as well as excitement. So Samuel said “And maybe explore each other’s ‘before’ bodies, you know, so we can watch each other grow.” Jenny didn’t say a word in response, but she blushed even more deeply, and bit her lower lip, which could only mean one thing. Sam was starting to look forward to the meal’s aftermath more and more.

When Meghan returned with three meals, Sam was silently terrified that she would make a snide remark or mock him for getting two orders of macaroni. But, all she said was, “I forgot your drinks, didn’t I? I am so sorry. What would you like to drink? And it'll be on the house with my apologies.” Sam silently did the math in his head to add the price of the drinks to the tip he was going to give her. He was pretty sure that Meghan was just being nice for the sake of her job, but he really did appreciate it, and was pretty sure the drinks would be deducted from her paycheck.

So, once the waitress was out of earshot, Sam blew his girlfriend a kiss and said “So, is it going too far to tell you to think horny thoughts? Or maybe just imagine how chubby we’ll get eating like this.” Jenny continued to blush and said “They’re the same thing.” As she cut off a bite of chicken, before saying “and no, I’d say the same to you.” As she gently ran her leg up his under the table. Then Jenny said “Maybe I won’t just double your weight gained. I want to shoot for triple.” And popped the chicken in her mouth as Sam stabbed a piece of his own onto his form, saying, “I’m starting to think that I’ll have to work to gain a third of what you do, forget half.” To which Jenny did something far more forward than she ever had in public. She said “I am gonna fuck your brains out tonight.” Then practically swallowed a bite of her chicken whole and said, “and every night until we’re both too fat to even try.” Sam was pretty sure that things wouldn’t get that far. But it was so damn hot imagining Jenny getting that big. She gently moved her foot up Samuel’s leg to find him rock hard before stopping. He shot her a wink and said “That’s pretty damn heavy. I can’t wait.”

And that was how the first meal of a fat-filled forever began.
