"The food was soooooooo gooooood", admitted Emma before stifling a big burp from eating so fast.

"No problem Sugar Dumpling", said Todd not even with the slightest tint of irony or malice in his voice voice. He'r never called her any endearing pet names ever before. But with the events of the last 24 hours under her belt, an Kong with some doughy flesh, Emma was in no mood to start a stupid fight with her seemingly enamored boyfriend.

"We fat girls gotta stick together!", she remembered her best high school friend and cross country teammate Jan saying to her. The new memory felt so real, so true, but in this new iddordation of her memories, both she and her lithe running mate were both obese fatties, dressed up in cosplay gear.

"My god! We were fat, back then", she thought to herself while hearing her best friends words repeating over and over to herself, "We fat girls gotta stick together! We fat girls gotta...", over and over again like a mantra in her head.

"But, but, but we were fit and thin, cross country runners", she mumbled under her breath, to which Todd asked, you okay Hun?

"Again with the sweet pet names???, thought Emma to herself, before gathering herself and asking?

"Hey Todd. Do you remember my girlfriend Jan?"

"Why? Yeah, wow! That was out of the blue", said Todd more than a bit confused. Seeing the look of concern that came over Todd gave her a moment of pause.

"So??? Wht are you looking at me so strangely?

"Well, it's just that the two of you got together last week to celebrate her moving back into town. Don't you remember?

"Perplexed, Emma tried her best to recollect but only had vague memories of eating lunch with an extremely obese woman. "No way that was Jan!", she told herself, trying to steel her confidence and get rid of her nerves. "But then", she thought again, "Look what's happened to me."

In a last ditched attempt to steady herself and sure up her sanity, Emma asked, "So did I ever show you the pictures of the two of us as track stars?"

Todd now wore a devilish smile that resonated his incredulity. "Ummmm no.....", he trailed off. "I never knew you two were....???"

"Cross country runners. Well back in the day, back in high school", she said, this time trying to even convince herself.

Then opening up an old picture album of actual photos, Emma was in for the biggest shock of her lifetime. Sure their were many pics of she and Jan together, but instead of thin bodies, donned in short shorts, every pic was of the two eating fattening foods like pizza and icecream. At first, she thought it all had to be some big prank, but as she turned the pages, it began to dawn on Emma, that these were her memories, or at least they were now. And finally, the nail was hammered into the coffin when she turned to a photo of she and Jan dressed up in cosplay gear. She was wearing a skin tight black two piece bikini that did nothing to hide her convex belly. And then there was Jan, with her "thicc" thighs, and bulging belly, dressed up as Tank Girl. It was proof that these memories were the real ones.

So confused, the plump Emma mindlessly accepted a frosted donut from her "loving?!?" Todd, as he put his strong arms around her thickened and now squishy body.

"Relax", he said, handing his girlfriend handing her another of her favorite donuts and then another, and another...
