Chapter 2: Meet Sarah

"Hey, you won't believe who I seen yesterday," Courtney said as she looked across to her roommate Sarah. "It was Kyle from highschool! He moved back to town!"

Sarah and Courtney had been friends for years. While Courtney had always been big more curvy, Sarah always kept herself in shape. She stood across the kitchen in a sports bra and leggings, showing off her toned figure.

"No way!" Sarah said excitedly. "It's been what like what...five years?"

"I know! We're going out for dinner tonight... but I haven't had time for a date in ages!" Courtney said, grabbing a sip of her soda "I'm not sure what date night clothes I have that fit anymore."

"Oh my god, Court! I told you you've been getting a little... Um..." Sarah paused and glanced down at Courtney's belly.

"What? You're just jealous of my curves!" Courtney said with a laugh, striking a pose.

"Haha well when you put it like that!" Sarah said sarcastically. "But just try to remember our diet okay?" She said and she pointed up to the fridge.

It read "Sarah's Healthy Lifestyle Rules"

1. Eat a balanced diet
2. Less is more
3. NO desserts

Courtney took a deep breath and sighed, rolling her eyes. Sure she had gained a little weight lately, but she hadn't noticed how much until someone else had pointed it out to her. For some reason, she didn't mind the extra weight at all. In fact, she kind of liked it...

Later that day, after spending hours to decide what to wear, Courtney came downstairs wearing her loose track pants and a blouse.

"Well, you look... comfortable," Sarah said with a smirk. Courtney looked down and blushed, brushing her blouse over her belly.

"If was the only thing that fit!" Courtney said as she snapped the waistband of her track pants against her gut, causing it to wobble slightly. "You think it's fine though, right?"

"Well, it's not my favourite outfit... but yes Snortney you look cute" Sarah said as stood up and made her way over to her friend. As she walked, she glanced out the window and noticed a car in the driveway.

"No time to change anyways, look!" She shouted and waved her hand. Courtney gulped and made her way over. She looked down and saw Kyle's car at her window.

"Oh my God, I'm so late!" Courtney exclaimed as she fixed her hair in the mirror.

"Just go downstairs and have fun!" Sarah said, "What's to be nervous about?"

"You're right! I'll see you later Sarah!" Courtney said as she grabbed her wallet, keys, and the last of her McDonald's meal. She rushed downstairs, her fat thighs wobbling with every step, threw on her running shoes, and bolted out the door.
