Amy Willard, Continued...

Chapter 1

"Yeah, it's me Mike, you remember, right?", he said, "We used to date", he said motioning to Laurie who stood grinning like the Cheshire Cat.

"Oooooooooh yeahhhhhhhhhh Mike!", exclaimed Amy excitedly before mindlessly blurting out, "Its just that I didn't rec..." she stopped mid sentence realizing what she was saying

"I know, I know. It's okay, Amy. I have put on more than a few pounds since you saw me last", he said chuckling as he patted the bulk of his 30 or so pound weight gain in his small gut. It was a deflection tactic he'd picked up over the past few years while getting used to being the "chubby guy". He'd done it a million times in the past, and usually people just joked with him or even simply just laughed at him, but this was not the reaction from Amy at all. Her wanton eyes were glue to his bulging belly as she said, "Well, I think you look much better now. You were so damned skinny back then."

"And now?", asked Mike while raising an eyebrow and gently lifting up and down his small belly overhang.

"And now you look.... much better.... filled out, like a real man", before adding, "but still a little skinny for my tastes, as she smacked him across his small but jiggly belly.

Shocked, Mike didn't know what to say. The momentary awkward silence following Amy's slap of Mike's belly was broken when suddenly and simultaneously both their bellies let out loud and competing growls. Both were slightly embarrassed and looked sheepishly at each other before breaking out in open laughter.

"Okay you two love birds", chirped the now fit and lean Laurie from the corner of the room, "I'm headed out for a workout and I'm assuming neither of you want to go with me on my twelve mile hike", she said rhetorically, "So I'll see you both later. Much later", she said as she conspicuously winked to both Laurie and Mike, "Gotta go! And oh, by the way, I stocked the fridge and cabinets with all your favorites, so enjoy and don't do anybody I wouldn't do", teased Laurie as she bounded out the door.
